Its as glamorous as it looks, but its also as visceral and depraved as it sounds. They really don't call it sin city for nothing. The entire city gives off a selfish hedonistic vibe that wears on you pretty quickly. Everyone goes there to do the things that they don't feel right doing at home and that feeling is in the air. All of the people that live there hate it in their secret hearts and you can feel it in the air. All of the people around you want to rape you kill you take all your money and blow it on gambling and drugs.

Its really good to experience for a short period of time but I don't think I could stay there for very long; the city would drain me. It can be fun to let go of all of your inhibitions but some inhibitions keep society on a level playing field with all of its parts. I would say don't go there if you are desperate for anything and don't bring anything that you aren't willing to lose.

Good advice actually!

I've been there 3 times and each time stayed only three days which was plenty long enough. It is a pretty false place which is great for vacationing but I too wouldn't want to live there.

It's a fun place to visit.. alot to see.. and do.. but be warned that it is VERY expensive to shop there (cough *tourist trap* cough).

I advise that if you want to gamble.. to take only as much as you can afford to lose and pace yourself.. you will go through your money pretty quickly.

FYI.. prostitution is legal there as every cab driver's back seat brochures and corner sidewalk flyer will attest (but we all know that wouldn't interest you in the slightest).

I would only be there for 3 days - And you are right Clairity, I wouldn't be going for the legal prostitution.

I am a keen and quite good poker player so would only want to go to play some poker out there really. I wouldn't take more than I can afford either, although I am sure it is easier said than done!

I have some time to think about it, and she has not even said it is okay for me to tag along yet, I am sure it would be, but we shall see

Not been to Vegas, been to San Diego though, San Diego is awesome, it may not have the most attractions like Las Vegas but it has some awesome beaches and more, its a really beautiful place to go.

San Diego rocks but in Vegas it's amazing. It was so clean I would have had no problem eating off the street floor. Everyone was really nice, it's exciting, the food was great, the nights were warm but not too much so and the hotels are fantastic. The skyline is filled with various wonders including the Eiffel Tower, the Empire State building, a pyramid, the Sphinx and a Castle. The toilets in Ceasr's palace were impossibly cool. They were so big you could fit around 150 men in them. I wanna go back

I went to Vegas with my family when I was 16. Unfortunately, I wasn't old enough to gamble and kept getting kicked out of the casinos, lol. But all I did was play the slots anyway

Las Vegas is cool, but honestly, I liked the Grand Canyon way better, which is pretty close to Vegas. I'm more about nature than all the city lights and stuff. If you have the opportunity to visit the Grand Canyon - DO IT!! No picture you will ever see can describe it. It almost doesn't look real, even when you are looking at it with your own eyes. It isn't one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World for nothing!

Lulz you took the words right out my mouth. I've been there a few times it's not fun if you can't drink or play poker though cuz you are underage, but seeing as how that's not your problem Adam you would probably have the time of your life.

If you want to party super hard, spend a shit load of money, gamble, have sex, and be super hungover and sleep the whole flight back, then go.

No kidding. I flew through it in a copter. It was like nothing else I've ever done in my life and you're right; if you ever get the chance, go there.

I would love to, damn there is so much I want to do - and it is all over there in America! I think I should just take a month out and come over and travel all over the place

Vegas wont be till February next year so plenty of time to think about it.

Ahh the greater Manhattan area is quite the lively place during Christmas they might even have a Christmas parade not to mention all the other sites and decorations that you are able to see during Christmas time I am sure you are going to enjoy it.

YAY! I went during the summer! Most fun I've had in a while

I want to visit Vegas when I'm 21. Mainly to say I've been there and done that ect.

I would go for like a week though, luckily I have enough common sense not to gamble too much.

There's shows, if you can afford it, and plenty of daytime stuff. You can go on some really cool ATV tours in the desert, for instance.
