Thread: Lefty or Righty?

Right-handed. Everything right-handed. The left side of my body is not very smart. :p

Mostly right handed

seems like most people are right handed. My boyfriend is left handed, which i thought was weird at first!!

My brother is ambidextrous

Although i bat right handed in cricket and eat with my fork in my left hand, the right handed way i think.

I'm a left-hander aswell, though I do tasks like controlling my mouse with the right hand :p

lol same here:p I write and throw with my left hand, but then a few other things are right handed.

But I do control my mouse with my right hand... If I do that with my left hand, it feels awkward...

I am a lefty, however I throw and do practically anything with my right. I do eat with my left though!

Ambidextrous. Pretty much every sport except Softball/Golf I'm left-handed (I suppose it has something to do with holding a stick), I can write with both hands, and I eat with my right.

Eat, write, spar, putt and chip lefty

play tennis, bowl, and drive righty

But can switch if I want to. Taught myself how to do that when I hurt my hand and couldn't use it for a month.

I was left handed. My parents thought it was weird so they spent a lot of energy getting me to write with my right. So now I'm a right-ie but I kick with my left foot.

I would say my right hand is dominate but there is a little mixing there with me using my left for a few things. It may be that I am just lazy however and often use whatever hand is easier to use heh. Such as whichever one is closer to the object I am using heh.

I have no problem doing basic or simple things left handed. Eating and stuff I often do left handed. I throw right handed when I want power or control but I often toss stuff left handed a lot. So for sports and stuff I always go right handed for that little extra control.

I am right-handed for almost everything. No, make that everything. Somethings I can do with both hands, however.

Unfortunately, I'm right handed. Though, I do some with my left hand. I use scissors with my left, I hit a volleyball with my left and I throw a frisby better with my left.

Why is it unfortunate that you're right handed?

Always wanted to be lefty... trying to teach myself...been practicing...I can write fairly well with my left...

Why would you want to be lefty? In my opinion throwing left is better than throwing right but righting with only your left hand would be a pain. If you're using a binder, and you're right handed, when you're writing on the back of your page the stupid rings always get in your way when you're reaching the side of the page. Now, imagine this happening when you're writing on the front of the page if you were to write left... It would be a pain.

Of course, you'll be writing with both hands eventually so it will just be a matter of switching

I really recommend learning to do stuff with both hands. I'm naturally a righty in karate fighting, but I self-taught myself how to fight Southpaw, so now I can constantly switch during fights, confusing the hell out of my opponent. It's really fun

I do everything the way a right-handed person would: except write. I write with my left hand.

You know, I heard that if your left handed then the left side of your brain is dominant, and I've also heard that the left side of your brain mostly controls your imagination/creativity/free thinkin, while the right side of your brain mostly controls your logical, mathmatical, scientific thoughts.

Totally works with me since I LOVE Writing and Drama, while I phail at anything mathmatical or scientifical...

The downside...is that my handwriting is AWFUL and I can't draw worth crap.

Oh and I use my right hand for the computer also. Using the mouse with your left hand is just plain WEIRD!

Lefty here.

I used to be ambidextrous, but after having my right arm in a cast for a year, my right hand has become rather useless. I can't even use the mouse with my right hand. When I was in the 5th grade I had extensive surgery on my right arm and was forced to wear 2 casts for 6 months at a time. At least the second one didn't go up to my shoulder, just my elbow.
