Seriously... just like solitary confinement, but without any food or water
wtf were the lift maintenance people doing while he was ringing this bell?
He is Dead they could not get him out in time.
He did not die.
If I was him I would of popped open the roof hatch if there was one, or try prying the doors open.....
Or I would scream and cry so loud that the whole city would hear me
who am i kidding id prob cry
In my building someone gets stuck in the elevator almost every week, I take the stairs.
I mean, its 4 floors, what the hells the point of the elevator anyways
Lol - Poor guy, glad he's ok now.
Now, if I was stuck in an elevator with a hot person, id be in there for a while...

Trolled so hard.
Yeah, that would suck, really. I remember being stuck in an elevator, when I was young. My mother had told me what buttons to push, if anything went wrong, but I couldn't read, and I was deadscared to push the wrong buttons, so meh, I was trapped in that elevator, until my mom started looking for me. Only 10 minutes or so, but for a 5 year old kid, that's scary shit![]()

My dad got stuck in an elevator once. It was for like, 30 minutes.

This reminds me of a story that happened back in Houston, in 2003. (Most elevator stories do.)
A woman at a Dr.'s office was getting on an elevator. The doors were about to close and the Dr. she worked for was came rushing around the corner to catch the elevator. There was a malfunction and, instead of re-opening, the doors shut on him, pinning his shoulders. The elevator then rose, decapitating him, then shutting down. The woman was stuck in the elevator for half an hour, with the Dr.'s severed head.
I can't even imagine what that would be like.![]()

I would get hysterical and be pounding everywhere and that's a freaky story, Oneironaut.
Actually, the accompanying article says how he pulled the button off the alarm switch, so the entire 41 hours the alarm was ringing, until he started to hallucinate. He wasn't sleeping, he was laying there. And he did check the elevator shaft from the roof for a way out, but
a. You could fall and die
b. You could get stuck and die
c. You could climb and have the elevator start for an upper floor
d. You could fall while the elevator starts for an upper floor
e. You could get stuck and have surgery to realistically re-create the other side of your body after the elevator has reached it's destination and you survived the fall.
Oh, and there was a fire in the building earlier, and that is why it malfunctioned, and fear of frayed wires etc. almost drove him insane.
I dunno, that's terrible for the guy, but look at that newswoman making it all into a dramatic story and stuff just to entertain others! I hated her narration while the video footage was being played. I just found that really disrespectful.
That's precisely what he DID do.Scary how it didn't work.
Anyway the guy sounds kind of awkward in the interview. I wonder if that's due to some long term emotional side effect or something.
I cudnt belive it towards the end of the interview when he answered that he does indeed still use the elevator.. I dont think I would ever go near one again, altho i guess the chances of that happening to you twice are incredibly slim.... but while theres a chance.. no freakin way!
Woudn't it be fun to be trapped in a lift for 44 hours and then be let out after. It would be so fun, to lie there, bored....
