      Talking Men's Makeup & cosmetics

I've been looking into this subject for quite some time now and I was wondering, who here uses makeup (guys of course) for everyday use?

I know what your thinking (omg no im not gay!)

well you don't have to be to put men's makeup on lol...its supposedly so subtle that nobody can notice you did anything other then get born with sexy genes.

anyways I found this interesting site im going to order some stuff from:

      http://www.4voo.com/

They sell SO much good stuff for us guys, when all the stuff arrives im going to do a before and after picture of me hehe....

Supposedly the market for mens makeup has skyrocketed in recent years

good! finally men are becoming comfortable enough to wear makeup!

(thats my dream, i love all makeup, even girls makeup hehe)

      anyways, discuss!

Can't say I ever have, nor will wear make up. Well not willingly anyway! There have been occasions it was forced on me, but that's another story...

lol adam well, you don't need makeup, your extremely attractive just the way you are....haha

but yea, I guess i'm comfortable enough to put makeup on daily, mens makeup, not womens because its obvious if i wore womens makeup in public..

women's makeup is for 'special' occasions with a special guy

I'm getting the concealer...fucking razor nicks look ugly, and circles under the eyes and stuff

and i'm getting the vanilla lip-gloss and the silk powder or w/e it called.

      and aftershave...razors kill!

speaking of shaving, i wish a laser razor was invented, no more nicks!...i wish

Use a moisturised shaving foam, and a sharp razor - try washing your face before shaving then applying the foam, use a sharp razor and this should help! I don't think I have ever cut myself shaving - and always use some form of balm/moisturiser afterwards too, as open pours after shaving can lead to irritation and flaky skin

well is your skin sensitive? mine is EXTREMELY sensitive..lol

I usually wash my face, then use one of those facial scrub's with all that rough like beads in it to scrape the dead skin off, and then i use a warm damp towel to soften my skin, then i use steam too..

THEN, I use nivea shaving gel for sensitive skin, and the sharpest mach3 razor I can find....

I shave slowly, and yet, i see tiny little microcuts with little itty bitty drops of blood here and there...and i shave every OTHER day...

talk about sensitive skin!...i need to use new gel/cream or something

or maybe a new razor?...I duno but when I get this concealer I can finally cover up those ugly razor bumps after shaving.

I might wear make-up if I thought even for half a second this face could be even slightly improved upon. The fact is, the acne, blemishes and dark circles and shaving nicks all add to my rugged, sexy look. Honestly, I'm just a badass that's put in mostly ordinary situations.

i would not feel comfortable wearing makeup. not because it isn't masculine or anything like that, i just don't feel comfortable having stuff on my face. Feels gross

i understand why girls wear it, but i like girls who don't wear makeup.. or if they do, not very much. i used to watch my ex girlfriend wash her face every night and take off her makeup... what a bother

The reason men don't put on makeup is that men barely have to render themselves physically attractive to their potential mates, especially in the face and skin department. Average and socially acceptable will usually do. Rather, they have to render themselves psychologically attractive by means of humor, wit, cheekiness and general cocky dominance.

Makeup is associated with femininity because women do need to render themselves physically attractive so as to be considered a potential mate. That would be the number one factor with all others following afterwards. It is then fairly obvious that makeup would be used to increase physical attractiveness for a limited amount of time (hunting season).

And since femininity in men is often linked to homosexuality, this would explain why men putting on makeup would commonly be assumed to be gay or bisexual.

A notable exception would be a kind of makeup that is very obvious so as to demonstrate self-confidence and "sticking out".

I don't really agree, makeup doesn't stick out, its not supposed to be noticeable, its supposed to accentuate your features, not mask your face.

And yea its sad how men are afraid to put any makeup on because of the whole gay stereotype.

and who says guys dont have to look good for their gf's or wives?

i duno about you but i like my guys to be pretty and clean and whatnot, i duno about girls but im sure they want an attractive man also.

anyways so, this thread wasn't meant to discuss who makeup is for, its purpose was to determine how many men here wear makeup

      I guess im all alone

its okay though cause im pretty this way

I love being feminine at times, but i don't speak with much femininity though, my tone of voice is quite manly, for such a sissy like me...lol

The last time I wore make-up is when my second cousins put it on me when I was a little kid. Fortunately, all little kids are idiots, so it doesn't surprise me that I was one too at that time.
