I lost my dog a few years ago...she had heartworms and then got cancer in her hindleg.
They could've tried amputating but the cancer had already spread.
I sympathize with you.

Awww! I'm so sorry to hear that. I lost one of my rabbits a year ago, and it took me very long to get over it.

I feel like I'll die when my cat goes. Maybe it's stupid. But he's really important to me.

It's not stupid. Same for me with my dogs.

I have lost many in the past two years. None of my losses have made me hurt as much as my pets. to all who have lost someone, or a pet.

Aww man. I love my pets, im yet to have any really close pets die.

No, she had been taking the dog equivalent of Vicodin for the last month. When my mom took her to the animal hospital near us they gave her a sedative and then her system shut down.

I'm dealing with it better now, it's really the first time I've ever lost something close to me. But I'll be fine.

I lost a dog too back when I was seven... he didn't die, but he got hit by a truck and had to have a leg amputated, my parents didn't want to pay for the operation and so they sold him and told me he died.

I think it still counts, though, since I thought he was dead for like eight years...

Anyway, i'm sure she's (your dog, not mine) is in a better place now, my deepest consolences.
