Mythological Stuff, mainly beasts/monsters, mainly Dragons
This is a poll... hopefully people will VOTE!!!!
my defense:
if dragons are not real, then where has all the mythology involving them come from? also, when dragons are described, they almost always have 3 defining characteristics:
1. Serpentine in nature, or having scales or a snakelike body
2. Able to breath flame or some other destructive substance
3. Able to fly, with or without wings.
One theory suggests that people actually DID co exist with dinosaurs and that myths or tales involving dragons are just far fetched stories of dinosaur sightings. Not my theory
I will visit this topic in the morning and hopefully it will have been replyed to lol and voted on.-Insert more original signature here-

I think they are just big lizards and stuff people seen, may not even be dinosaurs but other big stuff. And by big I mean compared to other animals. Like a horse would be a pretty big animal.

People thought manaties where mermaids, werewolves could easily just be wolves. Vampire is just a normal person who drinks blood. Dracula was a real person, he didn't drink blood but he was a warlord and murdered tons of people and they ended up calling him one. If you saw a firefly from a distance and never seen one before you could think its a fairy. Leprechaun could just be a small person, thats basicly what they are without magic anyway.
So I think someone saw something but maybe they needed glasses heh.

I think they were real i mean we humans evolved from apes so why couldn't dragons evolve from dinosaurs.

ok i have no idea how these people figure this stuff out but check this site out, it has stuff about the structure of dragons and all that.. (little slow for 56k)

when i said able to fly with or without wings i suppose i was talking about eastern dragons, which are generally described as really big snakes that can fly. (japanese,chinese dragons) Now what kid robot says makes sense, but I never payed much attention to eastern dragons, I always assumed they were just legends or something but then again :

Another thing about eastern dragons, usually they dont spit fire or acid or ice or anything like that, so maybe i should just narrow my definition down to the descritption of a western dragon (the kind with 4 legs, a tail, and wings).

Of course, there is always the possibility that Dragons are synonymous with Dinosaurs.
I have a serious obsession with cryptids, and I myself fancy the idea of a living Pterodactyl....somewhere.........in an obscure jungle..........hidden from mortal eyes.....
