That is how my friend is, he can tell if a tv is on from about 30 ft. away
I use him to see if my social studies teacher is going to let us watch a movie or not.![]()
I just want people's input on this.
I have always been able to hear really high/low frequency sounds that others can't hear. For example, audio mosiquito replent devices. Even the sound of the TV, I can tell if its on or not from a distance away even if I can't see the screen.
The reason I got reminded of this is because I just got the bwgen program yesterday and was rerunning the config wizard for my headset when at the part with the AudioStrobe sound being played that says that you won't be able to hear the test b/c of high frequency. Well I heard it, not suprising to me.
Does anyone else have this sensitive hearing thing?

You guys suck.
On another note: Is the bwgen soundtracks supposed to have a lot of white noise along with the tone sound? (I'm listening to the sleep induction (from wide awake) one)
Oh is that supposed to be the ocean?
My hearing is f**KED...toooooo many damn concerts.![]()

I can hear fine. Although I do have this problem of determing which direction a noise is coming from. Just today, there were some coins rattling about in my pocket. I could hear them, and I thought they were in my right pocket- I put my hand in to stop them, but they we'rent there. They were actually in my left pocket. It just sounded like they were in my right. (Wow, what a giagantic car crash of a paragraph that was).
yes, and about nothing too...j/kOriginally posted by Kaniaz

I can also sense that a t.v. is on from quite some distance...
If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...
I sense some kind of noise when TV is on...
I got that same problem... it doesn't really bother me, only when the phone (cordless) is ringing and I run to the living room, when it;s in the kitchen and such...Originally posted by Kaniaz

Early Morning Moment,
A Glimpse of Joy,
But soon it's Over, and I return to Dust...
I have extreemly acute hearing. I can hear the t.v. also, but I sometimes concentrate on echos of sounds when I try to sleep. Can anyone listen to music in their head as if it were headphones?
I can hear music/voices in my head before I fall asleep.
I can make them start/stop. It's very weird. Most of the time it's just my inner voice speaking in a different voice/accent. But sometimes I hear things that are not mine... I feel like WTF is it???
I can hear music when it's quiet but usually I make it stop, as it distracts me from doing MILD thingie, or just from falling asleep...
OMG and I thought I was just weird. I hear music too! It's weird but I sometimes hum to them. I don't get voices though.
Yeah, I can get voices and music. Sometimes they won't stop even if I try my best, which pisses me off. Many times they start at my command. I depends on the situation. When I am trying to sleep, they come on their own, and most of the times I can't stop them. It can be a curse.
Or a blessing....I like playing songs in my head.....It just pisses me off when I can't stop them....

"I'm loving it", the stupid Mcdonalds advertising ploy, believe it or not, has got into everybody's heads at school. All day people sit there saying "I'm loving it."
There is nothing that I hate more than that ad campaign!!!! It makes me want to torch everyone around me, and just take the T.V. and THROW IT OUT THE FREAKING WINDOW TO THE NEAREST BYSTANDER!!!!
....Sorry.....gotta calm myself down.....
It just fills me with rage....just remembering that freaking "pa pa ra pa pa pa"...

Yeah... the tinitus and the tubes kinda hinders that... And so do The White Stripes...
I have a friend that can hear super high frequencies, so what I did was make an oscillator with a 555 and a $6 120db radio shack tweeter and set it right above what I could hear. At school, I turned it all the way up and hid it in the back of the class. He was freaking out the whole time, while no one else could hear it. It was really funny.
Small females have very good high freq. hearing, and tall males have very bad high freq. hearing because of the size of your ossicles (the part behind your eardrum.
Also, I have the magical skill of blowing smoke through my ears
Did anyone see the chappelle show where they did the working at mcdonalds thing?

Screenshot of him blowing smoke through his ears? All you'll get is a pretty picture of Windows
Come to think of it, I can hear this little whiny sound right now. I know these monitors at school that make a super irritating sound going "NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" all the time your trying to use it.
u know that high pitch sound from a tv well its caused by old wind tunnels in the tv or something
Squall, either you are not special and have only noticed a background noise that everyone else experiences that don't really identify..
or, we are both special and have a unique ability.
u can choose.
