Now if you know TED you might be aware that there's good stuff to be found. But I thought this was so cool I had to make a thread about it. It's basically this origami guy who analyzed origami and now can create any arbitrary object by folding square paper sheets, and they are now working on applying this in the sciences. So if you like origami, you should definitely check this out.

Also, you can see some of the amazing origami thingies on his site and also get the software to design any origami figure yourself.

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

Saw it and liked it.
Very cool, the guy was very funny also, and I love the science-application of origami. Didn't really expect that... 'Look, I've made a telescope using origami.'
One of my favorites was the one about classical music, by Ben Zanders (?) , 'picturing excess', and the stroke one... Anyone seen those?
