Thread: Reflexes?

So I was coming home from the library today, and the speed limit was 45 and the guy in front of me was doing about 30. Since I was in a hurry to get home, I checked my mirrors, flipped my turn signal, and started to pull over into the next lane. All of a sudden, I jerk the wheel back to the right, I don't know why I'm doing it as I do, but I look in the lane I just tried to change into and there is a woman there in a minivan shouting something at me with an enraged look. It turns out that she was in my blindspot so i didn't see her in my mirrors. What I can't figure out though, is what made me veer back to the right? Believe me, I'm not complaining because I could've been hurt, not to mention my parents wouldn't be able to afford the insurance rising because of me having an accident. Did I notice the van subconsciously?
