Hey! Any cubers out here?
Well, I'm not a cuber but my record at solving the cube is 4 minutes! But it usely takes me 10! I'm to lazy to practise or any, just familiar with one technic..

They're easy. Once you learn the 'pattern', so to speak, or the method, it's just a matter of practicing...like any other thing. But it does look impressive.

My record is 30 seconds...

Seriously. Just take it apart and put it back together with all the sides matching

I can beat it (the real way) in about a minute, and I'm working on beating it faster, but need a new cube because my old one is literally falling apart.

wait... so pealing off the stickers and putting them back on accordingly isn't legitimate? well damn... if i wanted to waste time i could have done it with something more exciting.

Changing the stickers is just dumb. You ruin your cube, and that's not the challenge. I recently became obsessed with rubik's cubes, and I managed to work my time down to about 50seconds/1minute. It's amazing how fun they are, I'm looking to tackle the 4x4 and perhaps the 5x5 if I can find one.

I like to solve it when I get stuck trying to solve something.. It's a real good brain-excersise
But I'm glad that I know how to solve it though.. Solving the cube is just like any other skill. But not many know how that it's that simple! Just like lucid dreaming! This is a skill as well! Anybody knows any other unknown "skill" that I can learn?

I can solve two layers, and then I never bothered to learn the third. Go me. I used to know a guy that did minute solves or so. *begin nerdy story* We went to a high school programming competition, but we only had one computer, so after we had discussed our logic, etc, I started writing up the code while he sat there solving the rubics cube. Our third man timed him. So when he was done solving it he slammed it on the table and yelled 'time!' - '56 seconds!' - and everyone else looked at us and they were intimidated by our nerdly awesomeness. *end nerdy story*

lol @ Artelis's story.

Anyway, I asked for a 4x4 one for Christmas a year ago, and my mom didn't know what I meant so she just went to a store (Don't know which one) and bought the first one she saw. Two hours later when she was unloading, she realized it had four squares instead of three, so she took it back and got a three square one. Then when she found out I WANTED the four square one, she went to go back and get it, but they no longer had them in stock.
Argh.
