So...out with it...who did you vote for?

I'm hoping assuming that everyone has either gotten out to vote, or is standing in line somewhere and reading this post on your mobile (granted you are able to vote, of course). So...who did you vote for? I don't have all the names that were on the ballot, so I'm only doing the big two and a third-party alternative for the poll. If you wanna tell us why you voted for who you did, go right ahead. If not...I didn't want to know anyway!

But seriously, though. This shouldn't turn into a flame war, for any reason. Just let us know who you've rallied behind.

      I chose Obama/Biden, btw.

If I had voted, and could believe everything they said, I would have voted for Obama. But, sadly, I didn't vote.

I am leaving here in 15 minutes to vote, and I very much plan to vote for McCain/Palin. You have 15 minutes to talk me out of it.

Judging by the past year or so on this forum (and with all due respect, of course) I doubt it's possible.

Palin is staggeringly ignorant and unintelligent and with McCain's health problems and age, combined with the stress of the job, there is a good chance she would become president if McCain wins.

That in itself is an excellent reason for voting for Obama. America has already suffered under a foolish president ... it doesn't need to have a very good chance of having one that makes Bush look like Einstein.

True enough. Haha. I just don't have the energy to try think of anything that hasn't already been said, ad nauseam(sp?).

I planned on Baracking the vote from a while back. Considered the dark side once. Para Sailin' (Sarah Palin) was the last straw.

I'm 16 and can't vote, but my mom voted for Obama and my dad voted for McCain.

Coincidentally, my mom got a 4.0 in college and my dad never went to college.

College can be overrated. Think of a politician you hate. (Bush? McCain? Palin?) They went to college, too. Placing one's worth and credibility on college alone is folly.

      I voted for Bob Barr.

I'm not from the US so I didn't vote.

I don't know who I would vote for, but I do know who I wouldn't vote for, McCain and everyone's favorite idiot, Palin.
      - Are you an idiot?

      McCain/Palin.

I would have voted for my dad, but his campaign never got off the ground...

i'm in the UK so for some odd reason i couldn't vote..also i'm 17 so couldn't have anyway( may as well do it's ALL BBC news has talked about for the last month, i swear we could have had some kind of 9/11 event here and we wouldn't know because their too busy sending 10+correspondents to each state to randomly ask people in the streets of America who their voting for, for hours on end... and that's news.)

anyways if i could have voted i would have gone Obama/Biden, mainly because of Palin, some things McCain says i don't agree with but to be honest it's the fear of her in charge of the most powerful country in the world(well...meh you lot or china).

When do we find out who has won in America? Like how many weeks does it take to add up the votes from all the states?

Actually, the votes are usually counted very very quickly. It only goes slow if there is a problem.

Win or lose, this is a great day for civil rights. My mother told me that she never thought that in her lifetime that she would be able to vote for a woman or a black man for president. In this election and the primary, she got to vote for both

I voted on Friday for Obama/Biden. My parents also voted for Obama/Biden.

Is it really so dull and boring in all the other countries that they spend all their time covering our election? Are we really that important? Does the fate of the world rest in our hands?

There is more to quelling civil inequities (that are still perceived and, in many cases, still exist) than simply passing legislation.

This is, indeed, a good day for civil rights.

If only not for those damn crazy Neo-Nazis, Skinheads, and KKK.

I'm watching my local news covering the election right now. Obama: 50%, McCain:49%, and Barr:1%. Pretty close.

I'm watching the BBC coverage of the election over here, i've decided to pull an all nighter because its really exciting.

I would vote Obama/Biden if i was able to. McCain and Palin seriously scare me and i'm worried that things could completely turn around in the hours to come.
