Doom3. Impressive graphics wise, pretty scary, gameplay a bit repative right now... Although i'm not really the person to like single player FPS's much.... Getting a bit tired of the same steel corridor in some metal facility, although that does bring back original doom memories

The story is that there's a facility on mars and they do inter dimensional tests and open up a gate to hell. Zombies and freaky demons ensue.

So just to show you that it looks awesome on my machine here's some screenies:

Spider thingies. Hate em because they're allways with 1000 of them

Pinkie demon. Like a bull that charges for you. got caught in a dead end with that thing trying to squash me between the dead end and its .... fatty forehead. Thank god for shotguns, though.

this is what the spider thingies will do to ya if you dont watch out, i guess.

something wrong with this guy on the ceiling. Hehe guess he pissed the wrong tentacles off.

mr. Zombie, the janitor got pissed at me because I pissed on the floor and clogged up the urinoir by shitting on it, and then flinging it at his clean white shirt, which is now all ... shitty.

yeah. its doom3 for PC, will come out on Xbox as well. Its nice and creepy. Glad I downloaded it.

What card are you using? Those screens have the lowest texture quality out of doom 3 i've seen.

Yeah, the aliasing around the hand was noticeable, but that's about all I see wrong from a technical aspect. The resolution isn't too bad; I'd be happy enough to get half of that out my 5200 Ultra.

I won't be getting a new computer until next march, but I am getting radeon x800 in it all the way baby!

Doom 3 is ok but I played a *cough*illegal demo*cough* and it wasnt that scary (haha I played it about 4 or 5 months ago too)

You're basing how the game will be on how you experienced a stolen, not even alpha, executable of the game?

It was 1 level, just like that, looked like that to, and it just wasn't scary, but then again neither is the ring but everyone goes "OMG ITS SO SCARY!"

hrm... i didn't realize that was out already. i played that illegally released demo myself, but i just can't go back to playing games like that...they're just too spooky.

i used to play the resident evil games, but after a certain amount of playing i'd have to like run and find a real person to just be around...dunno why.

actually i think my video game playing days are pretty well over it seems. 'cept for my friend's copy of PacMan World 2 or whatever (for playstation 2)...it's great.

My point was that alot has changed since then... Saying doom 3 isn't scary because you played the leaked executable is like saying a movie sucks after seeing 10 minutes of it...

R9800Pro. 2xAA, 4xAF, 1024x768, high settings.

The only textures that sucked are the pinky one's (never noiced untill the screenshots) and the one's of the dirt texture in the spider lair if you get too close...

I am a wuss when it comes to horror movies and the ring didn't even make me fidget...

(I don't know if it makes a difference, but I saw scary movie three before the ring and I kept on thinking something funny was gonna happen whilewatching the ring)

Yeah, that alpha was not even scary. It it over 2 years OLDER than the released game. I think an almost 2.5 year old alpha can't tell how good a game is.

That's what I was thinking of...must have gotten the two big boys confused. Geuss I'm sticking to ATI for my next big upgrade, though the Nvidia drivers have always been kinder to me...
