Just curious to know what book(s) everyone are currently reading, if you read that is.
I'm in a bit of a neo-philosophical-spiritual mood lately so I am currently reading "Going Home - Jesus and Buddha as Brothers" by Thich Nhat Hanh and "The Complete Works of Lao Tzu" translated by Hua-Ching Ni.
What about you?

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

I love it. It's a little sporadic and Carl Jung, especially, tends to go off into tangents. However, the content is great and rather simplified to actually.Originally posted by Paperdoll EP+--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Paperdoll EP)</div><!--QuoteBegin-O'nusI've started reading that...what do you think so far?[/b]

Von Frans is quite interesting to.. good work. The images within the book are great to. I love how dreams are held with such quintessential importance throughout all the symbolism.
Anyone read paul davies?
What are science fiction books like, really addictive and stuff?
, lol hey O'nus, i mean no offence. But i read that post, and some of your others, and well..they seem to contain alot of big unnecessary words. Do you really need to use them all the time?
I like the big long unnecessary words. It works wonders for my vocabulary.![]()
iisav asimov - the foundation
This reality is like a goldfish bowl. The dreamworld is the same, but larger. It's easy to get lost.

The foundation series is AWESOME, highly reccomend it to anyone, hehe all 7 of them, and just about any other isaac asimov book.
It does seem as though I can be perceived ostentatious every now and then. However, I really hate to circumvent my vocabulary unless absolutely necessary (for example, talking to someone with a double digit IQ).Originally posted by Xisdence

I am betting you are concentrating on the word "quintessential" in my previous post which was easier for me to say rather than "a consistent underlaying point." It's just easier.... I'm not trying to be a braggart.
Just started Black Hawk Down, great book.
