Thread: Stuff White People Like

I am about as white as they get, so forgive me when I ask- Who is Bob Marley?
I'm sure I'd recognize his music but I don't recall the artist.

*places hands on hips in mock dismay*

And I happen to really like ragae (even if I can't spell it).

I never was a stereotypical white chick, though. I dislike concerts and fads. I was listening to Broadway productions when I was 13 or so (as well as pop, rock, clasics, classical, country etc).
And I've always hated pot. It makes me feel "car" sick.



I was called a "Cracker" growing up in Pensacola, Fl. It's something I never hear today and I actually sort of miss it lol

I've seen this posted on here before. As well as "stuff black people like". I think Sandform posted it awhile back. Interesting stuff.

I posted lots of things black people like, in picture form creating what in my eyes was hilarity, but I don't think I've ever linked a site to what black people like or made a thread about it.

Hehe. I first heard about this site through the book of the same title written by the author. Funny story; I spotted this book while browsing the shelves in a book store on Pearl Street in Boulder, CO, with some current graduate students in the program I'll be attending soon. For those who aren't familiar with Boulder, it's one of the most liberal-minded cities in the nation (I'm told other Colorado residents half-jokingly refer to it is 'The People's Republic of Boulder'), and the people who live there are exactly the kind of "white people" that the book and web site poke fun at. Anyway, I thought the book was hilarious and showed it to the graduate student who I was staying with -- who, upon reading a few pages, just quizzically cocked an eyebrow at it. Apparently he just didn't get it, absolutely couldn't see how the depictions in the book were humorous. I thought that in itself was pretty amusing as well, but kept it to myself.

Well because stereotypes have to be at least half based on truth. I don't even know who Bob Marley is. Apparently he is some black singer.
