Try My Bloody Valentine and their magnum opus Loveless.
Seriously, give it a listen... best album of the 90s by far, probably my favourite of all time. Has an ethereal quality which never gets old which I think should appeal to quite a few lucid dreamers.
soft she stirs on starlit sand,
and clasps wet shore within her hand.
she turns to face the silent seas,
and through her heart, a vital breeze.
she wonders at this strange new land.

Bayside, Allister, All Time Low, Anarchy Club, Airbourne, Against Me!, The Academy Is..., Bring Me the Horizon, Boys Night Out, Bloc Party, Bedouin Soundclash, Brand New, Chevelle, Children of Bodom, Cinderella, Classified, The Cliques, Abandoned Pools, Dying Breed, Styles of Beyond, Choclair, Cold War Kids, The Decemberists, Dio, The Early November, Five for Fighting, The Frames, From First to Last, Goldfinger, Great Big Sea, The Hush Sound, Ill Scarlet, Imogen Heap, Jack Johnson, Jamiriquai, Jason Mraz, Jerry Reed, Joel Plaskett (really recommend this one), Less than Jake, Lifehouse, The Living End, Live, Long Shot Hero, Local H, Marcy's Playground, Matchbook Romance, NoFX, Norma Jean, The Novaks (another I really recommend), Phantom Planet, The Postal Service (the best chill music you'll ever hear), Powerspace, Priestess, Protest the Hero, Prozzak, Punchline, Reel Big Fish, Reliant K, Rides Again, Saosin, Saves the Day, Senses Fail, Sick City, Silverstein, Sight for Sewn Eyes, State of Shock, Steve Miller Band, Steve Ouimette, Story of the Year, The Suicide Machines, Terminal, This Providence, Thursday, Treble Charger, The Trews, Two Hours Traffic, Vertical Horizon, We Are Scientists, Wintersleep.
Ok, so a few of those are either one-hit wonders or old school already established bands, but were good enough to be included in the list anyway JUST IN CASE you forgot about them. Also, keep in mind different areas have different music scenes, so some of this stuff may be really popular where you live already. Such as the fact that I didn't include Breaking Benjamin because despite the fact that they're nearly non-existant in Canada, I know they're really popular over in America.
Ooh! Good tip! I've been dying for something like this. Thanks Dude.
And great thread idea. Love it.
EDIT - WTF????
Went to check out that site. This is the message I got:
"We are deeply, deeply sorry to say that due to licensing constraints, we can no longer allow access to Pandora for listeners located outside of the U.S. We will continue to work diligently to realize the vision of a truly global Pandora, but for the time being we are required to restrict its use. We are very sad to have to do this, but there is no other alternative."
Any other site suggestions similar to that one?

WILDs - 38
MILD/DILDs - 44
VILDs - 8
TILDs - 1 (Thirst Induced Lucid Dream, never going through that experience again...)
Total: 98 - So close to the big 100
Hm... Although I like the idea of the thread it seems a bit... Well... Hard to actually motivate yourself without add ing som describtion do the band. I'll show you what I mean.
Melt Banana - Japanese hyperactive grindcore with high-pitched girl vocals. Both the music and the lyrics are far out. Lyric example: "Melt banana is so hard that by the laws of conservation there is no hardness left for you c*ck"
Horse the band - Metal (or Metalcore?) with nintendo influences (AKA blip-blop) resulting in some really catchy tunes without losing any of the "metal" in the name.
Doesn't this make it a bit more easy to decide if you're going to try it or not?
"Cooking is all about screaming at the food" - Endou Kenji
Peeping Tom, The Jesus Lizard

It does, but I'm horrible at describing music. So, without any descriptions, I think everyone should check out the following bands (with some good albums in parentheses):
Porcupine Tree - (Deadwing, In Absentia, Lightbulb Sun)
Explosions in the Sky - [all of it is awesome]
Devin Townsend - (Accelerated Evolution, Ocean Machine - Biomech, Synchestra)
Buckethead - (The Elephant Mans Alarm Clock, Electric Tears, Monsters & Robots)
"You do not really understand something unless you can explain it to your grandmother." ~ Albert Einstein
"The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside." ~ Allan Bloom - The Closing of the American Mind
Metallica - (albums) Ride the Lightning, And Justice for All, Metallica("the black album)
Just stay away from their new stuff...
Buckethead - Crime Slunk Scene, Enter the Chicken, above suggestions
The guy only cares about music, which must work, because he puts so much emotion into it. (ex. Soothsayer, For Mom) And he has a mad tapping technique called nubbing, which sounds really cool.![]()

I agree about steering clear of the newer Metallica stuff, their older stuff is way better.
Another great Buckethead album is Thanatopsis - Anatomize. I got the entire Buckethead discography and it's been taking me a while to listen to it all. In Thanatopsis - Anatomize, I like every single song. Buckethead is my hero. Whitewash is another great song.
