      The Sun

I know this is probably going to sound incredibly moronic and stonerish, but has anyone looked directly at the sun (behind a thin cloud so you can actually see its full form), and noticed that NOTHING else in nature or the man-made world looks as unbelievably, perfectly circular as the sun? Sure, you can manufacture a mathematically perfect circle, but it still doesn't compare, somehow. It's like you haven't seen a real circle until you've looked at the sun.

You know they make inexpensive mylar sunglasses for looking at the sun through for eclipses and such. You should find a pair if you like looking at the sun.

Yea, I know what you are talking about man. Pretty dam round.

And yea, you can get tons of different ways to look at the sun. And a few of them are very cheap.

I've seen it through a weldor's helmet and through really thick fog.

      Yeah, it's round alright.

I like staring at the sun. Even without eye protection...

Pictures never do the real sun justice.

When I google search "mylar sunglasses", all I get is sunglasses with speakers attached. That doesn't really have anything to do with looking at the sun better. I is confuzzled...

I'd guess it has to do with the size of the sun.

Unless the sun has divets in it that are hundreds (maybe thousands) of miles long, it's going to appear perfect to us - as far as we are away from it.

Planets are really round too, but they're not as easy to see as the sun is.

Not to mention that looking at the sun (which as I understand is very bright) going to give you an overexposed image. It's like it has its own natural Photoshop filter to smooth out all the edges.
      Not today.
