Has anybody gotten TB because their is a outbreak at my school and i have had a really bad headache and my ears are ringing could this be TB[/b]

Regardless of the fact you have been vaccinated, my God, if anything's wrong, don't ask us, ask your doctor!

you've been vaccinated

therefore you have TB (but only a little bit)

if you've been vaccinated against TB, you aren't going to get it...

when they vaccinate you, they inject a small amount of the live virus so that your body builds antibodies against it...that's the whole point of a vaccine.

when they do the vaccine, they do a special test to see if you are immune to it already and then you don't need the jab...if your skin doesn't flare up from this test jab, you need to have the injection.

I'm confused...you say you've been vaccinated, and then you say you didn't need the jab, which is it?

Thats a BCG, I've had it. Basically you have the skin test in which a small injection with like 6 miniture needles injects into your skin. After a week if these small lumps from where the stuff reacts to your skin is still there then you are immune and don't need the big BCG injection If the small lumps have gone then you need the BCG, which causes a big lump or scar depending on your immunity.

I had to have a TB test before I could do my veterinary internships. It's an intradermal injection - they inject a small amount INTO the skin layer so it forms a bleb in the skin layer. Then I had to go back like a week later for them to examine it and look for any signs of a reaction - which would mean having TB.
