my sentiments exactly... that's partially what's sparked my recent obsession with anything and everything dystopian. why, i have no clue. i could merely walk outside as opposed to burying my nose in books all day. JUST LIKE FAHRENHEIT 451?!!

Crazy Tribal civil war starts out, and before you know theres chaous and no rules and like 3/4 of the women in the country get raped and even men to. and its just total fucking anarchy.. Peopel with machetes and assault rifles wow down anything and everything that moves little kids, adults, old people and survival depends on if you got a gun or a machete. if you don't your just sheep and the guys with machetes are the shepherds who lead you "to the slaughter".

I think that happend in Liberia or Siera Leone dunno but i learnt about it in class. Thats as bad as it can get i think.

something like half life's society, with an all powerful overlord that has 24/7 surveillance on everyone in the world, and where almost nothing is legal.

A society of moronic hedonists who live solely for the instant gratification of the most immediate thrill. They never seek to better themselves. And they're ruled by a small group that encourages their behavior. They keep them stupid and addicted to instant pleasure so they're never a threat to the rulers.

assuming the UK continues at it's current rate, Uk society in around 20 years, maybe give it 50 or 60 to become completely terrible.

The U.S. economic and education systems get so screwed up it is almost impossible to fix them, and the Democrats have the White House, Congress, and Supreme Court with no chance of losing power because of all of the dysfunctional reproduction and permitted illegal immigration. As a result, the U.S. becomes a third world nation. Now the world has no superpower, and the world market crashes, so the world's most powerful dictator (of China) takes over the U.S. and then Europe, and from there, the rest of the world. Once the world is ruled by such a powerful dictatorship, there is no return. Humanity will be unfree and severely oppressed from then on.

If Democrats had their way, we would live in a socialist nation that would probably end up being third world. If the Republicans had their way, we would live in a Christian theocracy. It is the never ending war between the two that keeps much from getting done, which keeps everything from going to shit.

That is my spur of the moment thought. It might change in a few minutes.

Obama will at least try. Frankly, he's the only one of the candidates who seems to have any knowledge of economics whatsoever. McCain, on the other hand... Well, let's just say the continent of North America would sink into the ocean the moment he stepped into the president's shoes.

Anyway, I can't really think of a truly terrible thing for society to become. I guess it'd suck to live in a world dominated by women who mistreated men as a way to "get back at them". Just the notion of such injustice is enough to make my head spin. Of course, that would apply to any group who's been mistreated...eg., blacks enslave the whites, gays lynch straights, nerds give jocks swirlies...
