      Tell me your first memory

This may be difficult, since many people don't have many early memories. I'll post mine:

Hmm... I'd say around 1-2, where I was strapped to a machine in a hospital for some reason. It might have even been a dream, but it's my first memory.

      OK, now you!

The earliest one I know was real was me falling into a pool at my aunt's wedding when I was four. I remember sinking to the bottom, looking up and seeing the surface, then jumping up so I could just get my head out of the water and get some air before sinking back down. I did this a good six odd times before getting to the ledge, and getting out. I didn't know this was a real memory until my Mom told the story one day. Apparently a bunch of people saw me, but my Mom told them to just wait and watch. I took to water really well even as a baby, my aunt had once left me in the tub, and I did essentially the same thing.

I have another memory about getting hit in the face with something at my sister's birthday party, but it is fuzzy, and I just as well could have made it up. I have a bunch of early childhood memories that I am sure are dreams or complete fabrications.

My first memory that i can remember is being with my aunti and im helping her pull the lawnmower im pushing the under part and she is helping me push it. But im not sure if its a real memory or if its a false memory from a photo. I hope its a real memory though.

My other memory which i know is 100% real is when i was living on a hotel and just mucking around it and walking around. I have a collection of memories from when i lived there. Lots of them involving cats and lots of cats. The owner had a thing for cats dont ask me why.

I have extremely vivid memories of...

      being breast fed

      having my diaper changed

      being inside my mother's womb
(I don't think anyone will believe me on that last one but oh well)
(and btw that particular memory has changed my stance on abortion)

I can recount all these memories for you in detail, describe what I saw, what I felt, what I thought, etc. But only if you request. Because I don't like writing things people don't care to read.

I'm 44 now, but I still can remember before I could walk. I remember crawling, and liking to go under the couch and stick my head out like I was in a little cave. I remember looking out at my next older brother who was in diapers.

      I don't believe you Nina

      Heh.

My first memory was from about 2 years of age. I was standing outside pretending to be a velociraptor (Yes I was indoctrinated into JP-ism early on ) with some other kids in the neighborhood down in south florida before it turned shitty. I was running around and fell, where I was then stung seven times by a wasp.

I can't stand wasps at all either

      Why would I lie?

But honestly...it doesn't matter if you don't believe me. I believe me.

      Were you born "late"?

I think I've heard of this before; It's usually attributed to being almost born, not around the stages where abortion is used...

lol ya. abortion is used before like, the brain is formed. legal abortion is done LONG before you could possibly have any memories about it. Even now, it is likely any "memories" that you would have are dreams and such. psychologists say that before a certain age... like 2-3, you will not remember anything.

I don't think I was late. And I don't actually remember being born. Just being inside my mom's belly. It was soooo cozy and warm and wonderful in there, I never wanted to leave. It was like being wrapped up in warm pink blankets. Of course it was dark, but I remember it being lit up once and seeing pink. Maybe when a light was being shone onto her stomach? Do they do that with sonograms? I have no idea.

edit: I do still believe in abortion, just not past the first few months...I think. I'm still a little unsure of this. But I used to be all for abortion of any kind, and used to not give two shits about babies. But that has changed now.

That is completely not true. I actually have proof that my memories are real.

Um Nina, maybe I'm wrong, but I think most people who are for abortion ARE only for it in the first couple of months. I mean, there is no difference between the baby right before it comes out of the womb and when it comes out. So later you're pretty much just killing a formed baby. But abortions are done before the fetus has even begun to begin to form. It is pretty gross to do an abortion on a fetus, formed at all.

I have a feeling you're not going to believe me regardless of what I say. If you're going to continue to be skeptical and stick to your beliefs that people don't have memories of being a baby, then I see no point in attempting to explain.

I can't tell from here but it appears she is trying to push Wasup into confusion on his next post...

"Hmm, seems unlikely." "I have proof!" "Proof?" "Yes, proof. Want it?" "Sure" "No proof for you!"

Not confusion, no. I just want him to be open to accepting what I have to say as truth. I don't want to write a huge several paragraphs explanation of how these memories came to me and why I know they are real, only to have him brush them off and say I'm crazy or just dreaming or something, you know?

I really don't need to convince anybody. If I share my experiences that are so very personal to me, I just want them to be accepted and appreciated for what they are.

I don't appreciate his sarcastic and skeptic tone, which makes me not want to bother explaining.

Well by asking him for proof and then calling him a skeptic and not offering proof usually makes their next post rather angry. Or hesitant.

I'm basically saying, I'm willing to put my time and effort into offering what proof I have...so long as he is open and willing to accept it. But he doesn't seem to be. So I have better things to do.

Wait... what made it seem like I didn't want to hear your proof? Was it the "go for it" (i.e. show me your proof) that made you think I didn't want to hear it? Was it my obviously piqued interest that showed me not wanting to hear it? RIght...

Furthermore, what's wrong with skepticism? Should I accept everything I hear ever? I mean, I'm interested in what you say that proves it. A lot of people prove things that many disagree with by saying things like "it gave me a very vivid and emotional feeling!" Things like that, well, aren't "proof" or "evidence." I'm willing and open to accept proof. No, of course I am not going to accept anything that comes out of your mouth. That would be ridiculous. What's wrong with people judging your proof? Proof means it shows it is definitly true. As such, if you have "proof," I'd be glad to hear it. But if you say it's proof and it's, well, not, what's wrong with saying that?
