      text messages when half dreaming

have any of you ever been half dreaming, half awake, and imagined yourself opening your phone in the morning to read the texts you have been sent the previous night?

some mornings i lie almost awake but not quite, and i "think" im opening my phone up, but in reality im just dreaming it. ill get a text from my girlfriend saying "with the soap you will bring and my gamma flop todarma skitch fip" and then ill go "idiot. youre DREAMING. wake up and read it for real" then ill snap out of it, and look at it. it will say something random again, and ill realize im STILL dreaming of re-opening it. i do this like 4 or 5 times before i actually wake up to read it.

      anybody else have this?

I think you are addicted to cell phones.

You should replace your addiction with something healthy like cigarettes.

I know what you mean with the half dreaming thing, but it's not necessarily about phones. I also sometimes close my eyes after waking up in the night or early in the morning and can see stuff happening in a dream, but I can feel my eyelids closed and know that all I have to do is open my eyes for the dream to end. Anyone else had this?

I don't text often enough for dreams like that, however sounds like you could use these false awakenings to induce lucidity.

yep i always get those hal awake/half asleep dreams where i open my eyes and it ends. some times after ive been reading a book for a long time in my half awake dreams i make up in my head whats going to happen next. sometimes when my mum wakes me up to go to school, im still half asleep so i dream myself getting out of bed and going to the shower then i snap out of it and realise that i still need to get up this also happens when i wake up needing to go to the toilet but i dont want to leave my bed
