i'm confused. -- if you wern't selling the account what were you selling? just the cd's for the game?
Here is what happened. I sold a SWG account to someone. Here is the link to it: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...MESSO%3AIT&rd=1
I shipped the game and we both left positive feedback. In the auction I stated more than once that the account was not for sale. I recalled the account and I asked him if it was okay to send him half of the value of the auction. I did and sent him 275. He later wanted the account back. He sent me 100 dollars and told me he would send another 75 If I gave it back. I told him I would have needed the whole 275 and he would not agree to that or anything higher than 175. Well, of course I never gave it back to him. Technically the account was never his in the first place. I never sold it to him. So he next went ahead and filed fraud against me claiming I took back what I sold to him. Well, I NEVER sold the account. What I did sell I shipped to him. That was the game without the account. I even have the receipt still for it. Anyone have any idea what I should do? If I consider the exact amount I sent him and what he sent me the most he could get from me is 385. Is it even possible that he can get anything? Should I just send him the money?

clear eyes. strong hands.
Well, as stated in the account it was just my time. I was including the cds of course and the account info. I did not give him the right to change it. The only reason I did not give him the account back right away was because he was trying to rip me off. Now I don't want to at all. I don't see how I am in the wrong to the point that I would be forced to pay it.

He's filing for fraud? Well, as long as you know you haven't done anything wrong, and there's decent proof he's trying to rip you off, you should just laugh in his/her face, because they'll just sit there wasting endless amounts on a lawyer and end up being shooed off by the judge.
Well, I am not sure how the law works completely. Does it work in the way that a judge would first have to approve the case or would I have to go to a court right away? Anyways, I wanted to pay him the money even though I technically do not have to. It is just that I do not trust him. He decided he did not want the account anymore and now wants a full refund. He stated in an email this too: "I DIDN'T WANT THAT TANTED ACCT".
He is also claiming now he never recieved the game itself. It was shipped to his address yet he claims it never came. And he only said this till today. He has had weeks to let me know.

Another quote by him:
That would be fine at least send me half my money back.
He agreed right there to get half of the money back WHICH I sent him with paypal.
Another quote:
"As
for the Ebay thing, I told them it wasn't you. The fraud claim was
cancelled."

Read the ebay policy- I think it's got some stuff in there about disputes and whatever.
You cant really sell accounts, people selling Jedi accounts are selling 'the time they spent on the character' and that its all SOE's intellectual crap and stuff. I dont know really what the fuck is going on with you selling your password but then want it back or something?
You are selling him "time you have spend on a character" ? Not clear at all...![]()
Yea that is really really confusing. I have the game and I don't even know what you talking about.
Personlly I would give him the money back.
If its some kind of loop hole to sell your account when your not allowed to, then I would consider it fraud. Since your basicly selling your account even if you call it something else, you can't just take it back.
