Thread: VIDEO- Halo 3 Nerd Plays with Cardboard Weapons

It's Official, people have no lives.

shit if he made those he has a great gift there for designing, I'm serious, forget the fact he's a no life halo 3 obsessive for a second and making those weapons, especially the rocket launcher, is quite skillful when all you have is pictures to go by.

But.... OMFG... i mean i like Halo 3 but hell who does that....apart from him.

How does someone actually have the guts to put that on the internet? That is the most hilariously retarded thing I have ever seen a kid do on YouTube!

Ahh, Cosplaying.... can be good AND bad. First vid is meh, but the second one I have to say is pretty awesome. As someone who has no life himself, I'd say that in the second vid has nailed the cosplay for an Elite.

The only character I would ever consider cosplaying (just for shits & giggles... good to be a nerd every so often) would be Nightmare from the Soul Calibur games... If I could get the armour, the arm, and a Soul Edge sword prop, I'd probably be able to recreate the fighting style and do the voices...

This kid, if you've seen the rest of his videos, is kind of.. I don't know. He's obsessed with Halo. He has tons of action figures, he makes thing, he plays the games all the time. There has to be a screw loose, or he has no life besides Halo.

I play games all the time, but I still have friends and hang out with them. I don't do much, but I still have a life.

Just like some people are into S&M or whatever kinky sex... they are enjoying themselves, so yeah, why should we care? Unless it is directly causing someone trauma and harm, then let them be.

Overall, what the kid is doing may not be everyone's cup of tea. Though to be honest, I've seen weirder things...

lol like i said just ignore the context if you want and focus on the fact that if he made those by himself, he is pretty damn good and copying 2D images into guns, even if they are cardboard, the rocket launcher was very impressive IMO. Maybe he should go into the design business.

Technically, that degree of fascination would seem odd with any sort of context, but nonetheless yes, he does possess a talent for design.

i don't agree fully, it seems to me if the context was sport then often a person who seems obsessed with sport isn't looked upon negatively. Like those guys who paint their faces and bodies their teams colours, have absolutely tons of football memorabilia and pay hundreds, if not thousands of pound to travel to the other side of the world to watch one game. People never seem to look at them and say " wow what a loser", " get a life" etc.

I do, but then again, I belong in a different part of the spectrum. Sport just happens to be popular so that sort of fascination generally does not get that much ridicule. However, take it to something like books, and then again, the context of the level of fascination would also get people going "lolwut?".

It is really sad scrolling throught the coments for that video. Like, really sad. I can see how people would call him a nerd, but people are calling him absolutely horrible names. Like, the worst name you can come up with. It is really sad how the kid wanted an honest opinion on the armor color and people say to paint it the color of their **** and tht he is just a little ****sucker with no life and things that are so sexually explicit I won't even hint at them. Imagine his parents. They literally must have to stop him from posting videos because of all the trash he is getting. I wonder if he is still making those weapons. You literally do not want to go to the comments section, because it will ruin your day. And he really did read them for armor color suggestions. Turns out all he got was perverse sexual names and explicit references.

Anyway, I've begun to realize that YouTube is the chief hideout for the most ignorant people on the planet. It's bad enough that people have to leave such negative criticism about everything they watch, but...well, let's put it this way. Who's the bigger loser - the guy who puts up videos of (insert weird and/or pointless activity), or the guy who spends all his sweet time searching for those kinds of videos for the sole purpose of making negative comments about them?

1. Trolls
2. Assholes
3. FUCKING SPOILERS! ARRRGGHRRAAARGHARAGHARRGH!
4. Lack of intelligent posts
5. ???
6. Profit!

Most decent people simply rate and fav, the assholes though feel that they need to take it to comments in order to make their opinions known (as they don't constitute enough of a majority to skew the ratings). So it is a case of a very very loud minority abusing the anonymity of the intertubes.

But what about step five?
