Whoa, those are pretty awesome. I recognize the last one pirate posted and the one CB posted. They should belong to Steve Vai if I'm not mistaken. Either that or I saw them when I was searching for weird guitars after looking at Steve's.

FLCL is one of my favorite animes. It was probably the first one I ever downloaded. I have the soundtrack to it and everything.

You have to watch Cromartie High School. You have to. It's a must. It doesn't have the action or the guitars or really anything that FLCL does, but it's so hilarious. Oh man. I have to find a video clip. I have to. Hold on.

FLCL (cool as it is) has got to be one of the strangest cartoons I've ever seen. Haha. So abstract. But it's awesome, though. And I love Haruko's guitar - especially how it's got that rip-cord that she uses to rev it up like a chainsaw, before kicking peoples' asses with it. Heh.

Here's someone's badass Haruko costume, completely with rip-corded guitar. Gotta love that.

I saw one on the internet once, it was a hairy ballsack and penis guitar. I don't wanna look at it again or post it though, look it up yourself... It's definately WEIRD.

Lol. Yeah, I actually didn't know that, until after I posted that Haruko pic. I looked her up on wikipedia and it said that she had a bass, and not a guitar. I never realized that, while watching the anime.

I own a Steinberger and use it as a practice instrument. (Solid body and thus relatively silent so as not to bother the family too much. I play acoustic onstage.) That's one instrument that gets a lot of second looks because there is no headstock and not much of a body either.

Another weird one I have is a Martin Backpacker. It looks like a little boat paddle and sounds about as good - but it has an excellent neck, it can be heard and it's tough and easily transported.

One of my all-time favorite oddities is the "double bass" from the "Big Bottom" performance in "This Is Spinal Tap".

The 6th guitar Pirate posted and the triple neck heart shaped guitars are owned by Steve Vai. The first was a replica of the guitar used on the cover of his album "The Ultra Zone". The triple neck his used back when he played with David Lee Roth. Steve is using this guitar now. The top is a twelve string, the middle is a normal Ibanez Jem, and the bottom is fretless.
