Thread: What colour do i dye my hair?

I dunno it sorta looks the same to me in both pictures? Dark purple would be awesome, I think. A few years ago some people wanted me to dye mine dark purple. I think it would have been cool. Anime-like.

lol sorry its hard to see the red in the first pic, its the only one i can find, ifit was in sunlight it would be much more noticable. Well ok looking at the brown hair and my face n stuff, what do you think i should do?

Leave it brown, go red(though not bright cartoony, darkish) or go dark purple.

I kinda want a change but i want to know if people think it would be better left brown. On a more childish forum where it went off topic and they insulted me( thats what u get from a gaming forum) some suggested i cut it short. I don't think that would suit me at all, but again any input is good, so what ever you think.

Well, I think your natural brown color fits really well with your face. Given the three options, I would prefer that one. Have you considered dying it a darker brown?

As for length, hey, you've got really nice thick hair, might as well enjoy it! If I were you I would consider cutting the ends maybe about an inch so it's still long but frames your face all around. But that might be something you might want to do when you're a little bit older. Seems like a lot of guys in their teens like to keep their hair long.

I wouldn't know what color to paint it :/ Maybe black? But that might look to dark/emo.. Purple would be a bit.. special in my opinion : )

Okay, it isn't all That gay.. I guess the right shade of purple would be pretty cool. Aslong as it isn't like really crappy purple, it'll be fine.

dark purple would be cool, but i think it looks best brown.

I think that you should get it cut short ie. above your jawline.

A question, how did you do that? How that you make it blue butr also have the same shadows and stuff with the sunlight as my originial pic?

you have to select only the hair (it's a tool called "free select", or "lasso" in most image editors)

once you have just the hair, you can alter the red, green & blue values of the overall selection
this will change the overall colours, but keep the relative shades between different areas

Hmmm ok, a few of my friends have said dark purple, so its not silly bright but its different and interesting. But do you think its TOO different? Will i give off an " Im a total freak" vibe?

In a way i want a change, so even though i may go back to brown, for the holidays( next 2 months) and the start of school i'd like something different.

If you feel the need to dye your hair, just do it! It's not like you're interviewing for office jobs or something. High school is a perfect time to get this sort of stuff out of your system.

lol, not that bright. Very dark, not black, hmm hard to describe... well its darker then that.

maybe twice or three times darker, ehhh like the red in my first one if you can see it. It's like a dark red, it doesnt stand out lots, a bit more in directlight but not loads.

Oh you're not in high school then? Do you have a job? That might change things... In America high school is from age 14 to 18.

I know exactly what type of purple you're looking for. I tried to google it but just haven't found the right picture to put up here. But yah I know what you mean, but you'll probably have to get that professionally done though. I wouldn't trust store bought dye for this particular color.

i guess its still high school yes, just at 16 we can chose to stop and get a real job( though it wont be good), or continue to stay at our school for two years( if they have a sixform college) or go to a college for A levels. So yes im still at school for the next two years and in six form their really relaxed about what u do, piercing, colour n stuff.
