Thread: What Do You See When You Press On Your Eyes?

I moved this to Beyond dreaming, as it didn't fit in any dream topics.

When I press on my eyes, I see bursts of bright reds and oranges, in no particular pattern.

Same^^ with a few subtle tinges of blue.

Thats wierd, am I the only one who doesn't see any colours?

I can't really tell what I see (this is probably why I have such vague-looking dreams), but it looks kinda like light bathed in a grey shadow. I did it again, and all I saw was black with two white spots.

I see little white flecks swirling around disappearing and re-appearing, and white boat like shapes that are see-through swinging back and forth. In between all that are pale blue almost shapes moving around here and there haphazardly, kinda like in my peripheral vision.

I see the space fill up with light blue shapes that connect and create some sort of a scene or a scary random image, like an alien

I see bunches of white lights on a brown background, as I'm rapidly moving towards them. When I was little, I always though of it as a view of a mall from above...

i see a red-ish orange color, then accompanied by complex patterns which are usually diamonds or line patterns, then they get even more complex than fade away. lol its kind of cool.

At first I see incredible patterns and layers of predominantly diamonds and squares (I think I saw a heart, right in the middle, on top of everything else), and those layers kind of rotated away to reveal more layers. The checkerboards eventually dissapeared and it looked just like a galaxy. Completely black with pinpoints of deep purple and blue with flecks of orange and red, which soon enough burst into an arrays of bright red, oranges, and yellows and continuously "exploded." Then I stopped because my eyes started to hurt and now I can't see anything. =]

Same. But I think my colours are more of a purple and green at first ,then fade to brown and black. Then colourful sprinkles come over the checkered pattern.

A fading and glowing light.

what i see is way too freaky for me to describe in English, but i'll try:
as i start to apply pressure at 0 degrees to my eyes, the darkness deepens and i start to see circling motions in the darkness as if i was observing some kind of tropical storms from way above, then i start seeing these psychedelic yellow, green, violet, blue vizulisations. The shapes are diamond-ish and each shape of a diamond is made up from many diamond shapes and so on. These play, twitch, disappear, reappear, cut, slash, stab, dance. This comprises the first "layer".
The second "layer" (think photoshop, where you superimpose layers above others, tweak transparency and so on..) is made up of blinking yellow and green lights that at an irregular interval and fractionally (meaning that not entirely) is superimposed onto the first layer.
In about 20-30 seconds after first starting to apply pressure, the colour and brightness of these shapes intensify dramatically.

Green/Gray (im color blind lol) pulsating lights, no pattern, black hole in the middle

Try 1: I see black and white mini-diamonds, which black pulsing blobs in the middle

Try 2: Same thing, except there was a guy in a blue shirt running into the blobs.

Try 3: Green electric lines before moving into the black and white diamond and blobs

Edit: This sounds similar to ShYne123's, except I'm not colour blind.... hmmm

Funny is when I press my fingers on my closed eyes I will allways get to see pretty much the same thing everytime.

First I see a turqoise green light color expand from the centre of my vision and then it turns into a Mocca-beige/brown colorplane with quite alot of ''depth'' in it. Pretty much the Color of Coffee with alot of Milk in it. Out of that plane come these Darker brown Squares with smaller squares in them and even smaller ones in those...etc. Quite Geometric and it's like an animation because these Square vortexes will be flying at me at high speeds. then after about 20 seconds it will fade away to darkness again.

I see paint splatters and a perfect square grid.

That's sounds very similar to what happens to me except at the beginning, I see two seperate point that looks to electricity bouncing from anode to cathode.

I'll do what Ky did with the 3 Trial thing.

Try 1: Neon...neon lights of blue and red. Kinda like bars and boxes flying everywhere. Like "saved by the Bell" or something =P

Try 2: Red...molten-like stuff. It begins like a glob, and slowly splits apart from itself through the middle to make 2 blobs.

Try 3: Same as Trial 2, only this time it just collapses or something...


You think these things mean anything?

Good description Flexil D- like you I immediately see a pixle effect- kinda dull at first, then my "eye" or attention gets pulled to a bright spot at the center. Colors are hard to say as they are bright yet dark, purples, blues, greens, and yellows....as I press this strange ropy twisting image begins to appear, coming out at me or closing around me. If I try to look at any tiny part of it I see tons of tiny triangles or squares of brght and dark areas until the who thing gets fuzzy and...ouch! Ok ima stop that now!!
