I don't have a cell. Brain/prostate cancer yo.

LG enV 2. BREW and its closed expensive platform sucks. Looking at the Droid for next May when my contract is up.

Battery lasts for about a week and it can do everything I want it to, except take pictures I suppose. I bring a camera with me everywhere I go anyway.

My dad has this phone and he absolutely hates it!
And the LG XENON looks like a sick phone!

Not high-powered, but it lets me browse a bit, pull up google maps in emergences, and tether if necessary, with full phone functionality and above average sound, all for free on my contract.

Well, he thinks Bell is a bunch of retards that can't do anything, he isn't please with the battery life, and I'm not sure what else. But when he hates something, trust me, I would know.

Yeah, I want an iPhone, but no way can I justify either the upfront cost or the monthly hike in my phone bill for, really, a slicker interface and a downgrade in functionality. My walkman phone has the iPhone beat on call quality, camera quality, most likely music playback over headphones, definitely loudspeaker playback quality, probably tethering (not often used, but awesome when needed), and battery life. It was also 100% subsidized ("free") with normal-rate voice and data plans. For portable vid playing, productivity and internet, I have my netbook which cost equal or less than the upfront of the newest iPhone + a two year contract, can be tethered if out of wifi range, and serves much better as an e-reader.

I'll probably be sticking w/ the dumbphone + netbook combo for some time.

EXactly! I really can't imagine paying the monthly bill, but I'm hoping I'll be able to by next year. I have an older version of the touch, and that thing is so darn useful itself. (iT's only 8 GB's though, which sucks) It'd just be so much more convenient to have everything-in-1.

Samsung Intensity. Came out recently, and I have absolutely no complaints so far. I also have the "found by enemy" sound from MGS as my TXT alert, and the Codec ring as my ringtone. 8-} Favorite feature: the screen slides to the right for a QWERTY keyboard with TONS of symbols.
