I had a small fear of hights that i got from my pops. Im not afraid of heights anymore but i rememeber when i was a kid i went on the high dive at a pool and i was scared shitless and was frozen on top of the diving board for about a minute until i finally jumped.
Nothing really bothers me these days other than peoples shitty driving.

I really dont have any personal fears. My fears are for my friends really. I dont fear my own death, I fear their death. I fear those close to me suffering.

If I had any fears, it would be torture. Experiencing extreme, violent pain over a long period of time.

My fears are anything that would scare the sh#t out of anyone. Like someone attempting to kill me. I don't really fret about anything that isn't actually happening or ever will happen. But if I know there is a possibility that something may happen (ex. I was camping in the mountains in an area that was supposed to be populated with mountain lions) then I'll be worried.

i have a really minor fear of the dark. its not so much that im afraid of the dark, but that i feel waaaay too vulnerable in the dark. like something could sneak up on me at any time.

i also i don't like being in open water. i don't know why, but whenever i'm in the water i feel like something is just going to come up and grab me.

so now that i think about it, it seems like i have a fear of the unknown and the uncontroled :/

Death. I'm not afraid of the process of dying or whatever, I'm just afraid of not being concious anymore forever. I value my ability to think more than anything else in life. I can't bare the thought of losing that.

And concerning other people, I'm not afraid of them dying. I mean, I'll be sad, but I'm not afraid of it. As long as it's not me dying, I'm not to worried. And I know that sounds cowardly and egotistic, but that's a life instinct. Life by nature is egotistic. I value myself over everything else, and that's the way it should be.

(Sorry if I spelled egotistic wrong. Maybe it's ogotistical or something. Dunno.)

I am terrified of the idea of me floating in the open sea with miles of water under me that could be hiding just about any terrific horrible sea creature ready to pull me down.

I'm afraid of sudden sounds, like someone behind you going boo....

And also I'm afraid of extreme heights where it's easy to fall off of. I'm not scared of stuff like secure rock climbing, but I'm scared of..... really tall heights with low to no bars. If you ever go to Disney World in Florida, and you go to Blizzard Beach, try going on the 150 foot waterslide. It has a 2 hour line for a three second ride, and the last 20 minutes of the line are at the top, where if you fall you fall 150 feet, and there is only really small railings.

It will sound really alpha-male (wich I am not really), But I can't really think of anything I am really afraid of. I guess that wasps and some insects do make me feel ichy/grossed-out in a way.

I think maybe we should be sticking to fears that arent proportional to actual harm being done.

If were just talking about mortal fear then im afraid of a crackhead holding a gun to my head. I am also afraid of warewolves attacking me while i sleep.

im afraid of bugs, but that ones really common.

i'm also sort of afraid of foggy water, like if i go swimming in a lake or river and there are logs and stuff sticking out, i like being able to see the bottom.
Do you know where you are?

I am afraid of heights and washed-brain fanatics.

And also I'm afraid of false-friends. No one can imagine how many harm can such a person can do.
It is much more worse than your enemies, because an enemy you usually know and you know what to expect from them, what kind of threat. But with a false-friend you never know what he/she is scheming behind your back.
I'm tired being sorry.

I'm afraid of spiders... sure, i can have those small thingies, but it are the large ones, with little stickie legs that i don't feel really good by...

Bugs, but not all bugs: i don't really like cockroaches, and other things like that, but wasps and bees and stuff don't really frighten me, mind you...

I'm afraid of wasps, death and suffering of my close family. Those are the only ones I can think of. However, I LOVE heights.

The only insect that I'm afraid of is the dreaded daddy long legs (WTF is wrong with the person who came up with that name?!&#33 which is weird since it's the most pathetic, harmless and pointless creature in existance. You always find them with about three legs buzzing around on the floor - how do they survive more than four seconds in the world?

I agree with alternatereality, I hate swimming in foggy water that you can't see the bottom of.
Also, I don't have a huge fear of the dark, but if I'm in the dark, I won't exactly hesitate to turn on the lights.
And spiders. Jesuchristo, do I hate spiders.

Same here, I don't like being alone in a room in the dark, but I'm alright if I'm outside at night. It's the feeling of being closed in in a dark room that I can't see properly that I don't like.

I think they have a very dangerous poison in them but they have no stingers so its kind of funny. Thats why rabbits die when they eat them in the grass.

I used to hate dark rooms but now I don't get affected by it.

My best guess would be that since people are instinctively afraid of things that may cause them harm they are afraid of insects because some insects are poisonous, some insects like to hang around rotting meat and some insects are just annoying and like to bite you in the ass.

But it's just a guess.

Personally I don't like bugs because they are silent. It just bothers me that I never know whether there is one crawling around in the room.
