My 1 year birthday party - I got one of those plastic stackable ring toys.
ok this could be just another pointliss topic but I want to see. Whats the oldest memory you can recall?
Mine was back when I was 3 years old and it was a snow storm back in 1993. they say you can't remember anything before 3 years old, not sure.
I think I remember a dream that happened a real long time ago that I was being chased by killer bees, can't remember my age though but it must have been when I was real little

My first memory is at 2 years 9 months ( the day my brother was born) I was in the flower shop with my dad to get a baloon for my mum because she had the new baby. My dad picked out this baloon that looked liek a bottle and said "Its a boy" ion blue on the front. I specificly told him that mom already had that baloon, and we argued about it. My dad bougth ti anyway and the whole time to the hospital I kept telling him that I was right and she has that baloon. We get to the hospital and the first thing I do I show my dad the same baloon.
Its so funny because all the time my dad and I fight abotu sutff where I insit that I am right, and then he does it anyways only to find I was right shortly after. We dont fight or anything, we will just have disagreements such as in my first memory. Its a little family joke, that "even back then you guys did the same thing."

My oldest memory...
I was between the ages of 2-3 (I moved from this house when I was 3) at my old house, and I had just finished taking a bath. My Dad was still in the bathroom, draining the tub or something. I walked into the hallway which connected to the living room. On the mantal above the fire place I saw a little brown thing. I must have said something because my dad came in the room kinda fast. The brown thing I saw was a bat. I dont remember how my dad killed it, but he did and I watched him take it outside. I can still see it in my mind, the bat laying on a pile of dried leaves.
Another memory from my old house...
I was laying in my crib and there was a bug on the ceiling. I still remember what it looked like and I now know it was a centipede. It really scared me at the time and I couldn't sleep.
I'm not sure which memory is older, but there ya go.

I am fairly convinced there was another topic like this...but here goes.
I moved away from the Midwest just after I turned four, and I remember my oldest brother playing with his trouble maker friend in the Midwest. So right about four years old. I need to work on that though. I do seem to have a bunch of memories spread out evenly through the ages.
So the earliest memory I remember is right before I got hit by a brick in the head at around age 6.
My earliest memory would have to be when my mother was giving me a bath at about age 1.5-2....She was washing my hair with a floral/friut mix shampoo and was telling my my hair smelled like a fruit salad. I think she helped my paint my toe nails afterward.

being pulled out of kindergarden to go fishing with my dad. on the way there we got mcdonalds and i got chicken nuggets in my happy meal. by the lake there was snow on the ground. it was the first time i had ever seen snow. someone put a toilet into a tree and to this day i cannot figure why.
...that's it.

Oh Gwen, you just unlocked another earlier memory for me. My mom was washing me in this little seat thing in the kitchen sink. I remember she had this small face cloth she put on my stomach and i loved how the texture and the temperature felt. It was really nice. I think I was around 2, no it had to be younger yes? somewhere around 1-2.

My oldest memory is probably when I stole a plastic whale from a shop and hid it under my pram. Dunno how old I was but I was pretty young (about 3). I still have the whale!
I remember details back well before I can even put an age on them - getting my diaper changed... intricate details of the house when everything was HUGE and I crawled around it... my mom going to the hospital to give birth to my sister... lots of things that had happened before I was 14 or 15 months old.
One amusing memory was while learning to talk. I was looking out the front window, and my mom said, "It's Spring!" I knew what a spring was, and couldn't see any out there. It was very confusing.

Could you not argue that your oldest memory is the most recent?![]()
I am 34 years old and the most recent memory would be technically the oldest of MY memories.
The earliest would be the youngest memory.
I have a memory for shit anyways. I can't remember yesterday.

Ok then...
My memory is crap too but I do remember being at the hospital for a shot when I was around two, I mostly remember screaming and trying to bite someone. Unless that was the most recent time I went for a shot, I didn't scream, just tried to bite. Oh damnit, I can't remember. Something like that.
I remember something from when I was a toddler. I was sitting in the back seat of my parent's car and I was screaming my head off because I thought the windshield wipers were big monsters that would eat us.

I can remember my 3rd birthday... or was it my 4th? I was sitting on our card table that we had and was watching a movie.
I know this one was earlier: moving around in my little... it's like a round thing with wheels that you almost sit in, but you can push it around. It's kind of like a walking-training thing. It also had a little table-ish thing around the edges with stuff on them. I also remember the clicking baby-swing. Man, I loved those! I don't recall if our basement flooding was when I was two or three, but I remember that, too.

Ahhhh... okay... my earliest memory... this is a tough one, my unprompted long-term memory is ABYSMAL. Hmmmmm...
One of them is when I was like three or four or something. I remember sneaking down the stairs to the lounge in the middle of the night to watch MacGyver or ?Nighthawk? (the helicopter program). I remember lying down on the stairs... they were carpeted. That was our old house, the first one, so it must have been AGES ago.
Wow I thought I had a good memory, I was sure this wasn't a very good topic, anyway I remembered my old dog from when I was like 2-3 (I had the dog since I was born) I remember when I went back to the house I moved from when I was 4 that felt weird seeing it after like 8 years, it looked realy small when I came back, the kitchen was so tiny, and I remember my mom counting off the days till I got to go to school with little peices of paper on a window.

I remember the taste and texture of warm cheddar cheese and Saltine crackers at the zoo in my hometown where my mom used to take me when I was 2-3 years old. She always packed cheese and crackers for an afternoon snack. That's my earliest waking memory. I remember a dream from when I was around that same age, but don't know which of those memories is actually older.

The first couple memories of my life are pretty traumatic, nothing I would share with the internet. But I do remember getting stung on my butt cheek by a bee when I was pretty young and I ran all the way home screaming and crying, and I had to eat my dinner standing up.
My dad insisted there was no possible I couldve remembered this but after awhile I did convince him w/ the details of it all....
I was 6 months old laying down in the passenger seat of my dads car (1979- back before car seats for infants were enforced). Dad got cut off by another car and he ran the car into a ditch and I remember rolling off the seat and onto the floor board face down. I dont remember feeling any pain or anything. I was just real scared b/c I couldnt see my dad anymore. Thats where that memory ends for me though.

My earliest memory was around 6 mo. I was sitting in a bouncer seat that was suspended from a door frame, and I was bouncing away. For one amazing moment though, I was balanced and standing. What a rush! Then I fell forward and to the left and I could not quite get the balance again.

my earliest memory is... when i was... like 6 or something, and my grandpa made this swing of an old tire, a plank, and some ropes... and me swinging on it..
hmmmm... yeah
or maybe getting stung by a bee in my mouth...
