Digital all the way.
No point in wasting a quarter of a second or however long it takes to process a regular clock face and interpret it into the current time.
Not to mention likewise precisely formatted date display.
Okay, I have this fascination with watches and clocks. I don't know what it is, but I seem to collect clocks without realising it, and as for watches, I hate traveling through airports when you see all the awesome watches in jewelery shops, as I just want to buy them all.
Anyway, it got me thinking, which type of watch do you wear? Analogue or digital? I think analogue is the only way to have a watch personally, however there are some cool watches out there, so post up pics
I currently wear the Nixon Rotolog, and have done for a couple of years now, it's made from wood

LOL - you mean you cannot do two things at once?

Watches? You mean those bizarre manacles people strapped on their wrists in the '80s?
At any given time, I have at least one and more often 3-5 sophisticated electronic devices on my person and/or around me, all of which tell me the time every time I look at them. Losing track of the time would require copious intoxicants and/or two weeks in a black box.
If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama
Not the point.
It's just comfier and more precise to receive time in the format it's supposed to be in: HH:MM:ss.
When someone asks you the time, you don't reply, "The short hand is at the bottom and it's a quarter of the way to the top for the long hand".
You say, "It's six fourty-five".
Bahhhhhh Merlock! It takes less than a second to process the information and read the time as someone would want to receive it. Even reading a binary clock, takes little over a second. How you relay the time to someone will always be the same.
I'm guessing you're one of these people who only uses a 12 hour clock too?
24 hour clock is the most commonly used time notation in the world... Only the US and Canada use 12 hour really. Which must be true because the internets told me so LOL

It shouldn't take any time - I don't see it as 18:00 though - I see it as 6pm. It's like seeing an acronym for example, I just know what it means without having to process anything, if that makes sense?
Anyway, there's no winners with this poll LOL - I was just interested - Meh...

I wear a cheap digital watch from Wal-Mart. I can't stand anything on my wrist, so I buy the ones with velcro bands and fold the band over my belt. It looks a little odd, but it works better for me.
Thinking about actually buying a decent watch, though still something I can wear on my belt.
Also, Adam, that watch is badass, man.

Analog. I hate all the stuff they put on digitals, making it so thick and such.
Digital. Mine even synchronizes with National Atomic Time.

Likewise, our country is one of the only ones that drives on the right-hand side of the road. However...we made the automobile mainstream, so we have the right of way...in saying that our way is the "right" way.
Back to the real topic...I agree with Merlock. Maybe I'm just slow, but it takes me a few seconds longer to read an analogue clock than it does to read a digital one.
...And yeah. Military time is balls.

"Take atheism, for example. Not a religion? Their pseudo-dogmatic will to convert others to their system of beliefs is eerily reminiscent of the very behavior they criticize in the religious."

I set all my watches and clocks to 24 hour. I can't stand the 12 hour time.
My watch is currently digital, but I am looking into getting a binary watch. They look kinda cool![]()
I don't wear a watch, as my wrists are abnormally wide, but if I did it would be analogue.
Let's do something that we'll regret when we're older.
Your heart isn't keeping a beat, it's counting down
I have both.. but my most expensive watches are analogue.
The sport watch I wear everyday is digital.
.
I love watches too!!If I collected anything, it'd be watches/clocks. And umbrellas.
I've always had analogue and prob always will. I especially love the ones that don't have any numbers or dashes or anything. I can read them fine but they confuse other people and that makes me kind of happy.![]()
I never saw the point in a watch if I can check my phone for the time, without carrying extra devices around.
Plus, they look kind of stupid unless you buy expensive ones.
I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE
I'm a bit different though. I'm just fascinated with analogue watches, and I'm a bit picky about which ones I like. However, when a watch does catch my eye...it REALLY catches my eye. It's like pure beauty to me.
Obviously, I own an analogue watch
It's almost this one
just make it gold instead of silver.
I once owned a pocket watch too but I lost it. I'll never forgive myself for that. It was a beauty.

I just wear a cheap, digital watch. 24-hour time though, it always made more sense to me.

Anologue watches are better, imo. Humans are obviously anologue creatures and interpret pictographic information easier than numbers. Besides, I love the accuracy that comes with anologue watches.

That's as close an example as I can find. It's a fossil Big Tick, has analogue hands and digital seconds.

Those who complain about it taking a long time to read an analogue watch must be semi-retarded. I couldn't tell time on a clockface until maybe... grade three.
I really like the Nixon, Adam, I actually saw one of those in the mall yesterday and am considering getting one. But since you have one I might have to get a different one!
Invader, those watches are badass, too.
Starry starry night, paint your pallet blue and gray,
Look out on a summers day,
with eyes that know the darkness of my soul.

My brother has one of those.
In the meanwhile:
The only difference between that watch and mine is that mine has an extra clockface (or whatever you call it) for seconds, instead of the flipthing. (you know that one that's on '25') I absolutely love it. Also glad it was a birthday present, because it was expensive xD
Oh, and it's only got "Boccia" and "titanium" on it, nothing crystal or sapphire or whatever![]()
