umm... how do you attain higher site ranks, like lucid student, and others can some one tell me, i'm really confused

it used to be based on how many posts you had, but the number of posts doesnt represent your abilities to LD, so they changed it.

I never look at those things anyway. I just set mine to "Lucid God" and felt happy about myself.
