      System Time

I know this is a minor thing, but it's one of my pet peeves -- the time on this server is apparently between 5-10 minutes ahead of the actual time. Can't you guys use AboutTime or one of those programs to sync it up with NIST or USNO or something? Like I said, I know it's a minor issue, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

I think we've had this before...something to do with your own clock. Can't remember what. Oh well.

Ah yeah, that's it. The pages are cached, so they always show the wrong time, I think.

Uhhh... how does that work? The DV index page currently says it's 7:40am, but it's only 7:32 (give or take a minute). How can a time in the future be cached?

You'd have to ask icedawg about that. I know the magical-past-time problem, but I've never seen that before. Maybe your clock is wrong?

Mine isn't off by more than a minute -- just checked with USNO to be sure.

we're running a 'virtual' server, which means there's at least one other client sharing it with us (or there could be). thus, although i have control over all the software and whatnot, i cannot adjust the system time (i've tried). recently ipower synced the time, but it has been slowly falling back again.
Each new day is a chance to turn it all around.
