Thread: Way to name a topic title...

Hmm havent seen that on phpbb boards yet, mostly Invision power boards have that. But i'm sure ice could code it if he wants, cause he's fuckin 1337.

I've thought about that before. Bung an extra database field in, mess with the code a bit, and volia, we can have one.

Although it's nice to note that with this feature, I've seen people on other forums write in it like:

"No topic description. JIHAD!"

hrm. if memory serves i think someone has already written a mod in regards to this feature. i wasn't really all that sure about it though because it would increase the height of all the topic cells thus making the page longer...?

Well Ice, it only adds to each cell like a quarter of an inch or less. Just move the main topic titles up a bit and make the other part under it so it all fits in without adding to the cells (or not I'm not very good on making things look good but you'd find a way :-D). But generally it doesn't make the page THAT much longer.

And kaniaz, we can just kinda make a rule saying that you can't do that. Either no bottom one or both.

I really like it because I hate going in something and being misinformed about it.

While we are at this similar topic, what do you think of perhaps getting more posts per page?

If I am not mistaken, DV has 15 per page, and ld4all has 25...we should compromise at 20

You have to take into account our avatar restrictions are much more generous, and we also have signatures. If we up the posts displayed on each page, that could mean alot more stress for 56k users, and in some scenarios, it already can be (if you have a page with lots of signatures). But icedawg could just code it as an option you can change in your profile..
