Thread: Whats up with the buttons?

I don't suppose you are using Google Chrome? I have some problems with Google Chrome on DV.

If you are, I suggest using something else, like Firefox.

And about the delete thing, are you sure you have clicked "edit"? When you do that, there should be four buttons at the bottom right of the text box, one being "delete".

I've had the problem of hittng quickreply, but acting like quote.
Could you take a screenshot of the editing field when you try and delete a recent post?
Remember you can't edit or delete posts older than 24 hours.

When I had just become a dream guide, I think DuB had messed with my permissions on the forum, and I couldn't edit any of my posts outside of on-topic.

And I agree with slash, try different browsers. Even try IE if nothing else works.

No but seriously, help. I already went to no-name about the delete thing but I haven't told him yet that it's just not there at all.

Let me guess...you're using your phone when this happens? Always happens to me on my samsung eternity when I'm surfing DV. Never when I'm using an actual laptop.

No I'm not using a cell phone and I'm using IE. I just recently upgraded to IE 8, soo... that might have something to do with it.

Well the upgrade got me some stoopid toolbars and I believe now this problem.

Hmmm, now that is weird.

I was going to say maybe it's cause it had been over 24 hours. But if that was the case you wouldn't be able to get into the edit bit.

I am befuddled.

With quick-reply acting as quote, it's happened to me a few times but I can't seem to figure out what the problem is.
I don't think there's much I can do about it.

As for the delete button, the problem was that it was specifically denied in that forum you were posting in.

I've fixed the Community Team permissions for posting in the Community forum, you should now be able to delete your posts for up to 24 hours after you've posted them.

Alright well looks like someone fixed it.

I was scared because I was thinking I was looking like some kind of spammer. Then again... atleast it's more appropriate there. Well thanks anyway
