      astral travel/ remote viewing

What's the difference between astral projection and remote viewing. I know remote viewing in a lucid dream state has been proven and documented. Is that the same or different?

I'd also like to know if anyone has attempted remote viewing in a LD and what the results were. I've made two attempts myself and they both got me to uncomforatble places, but so far not unbearable.

In the response to the religous foke, I believe in god as well as a supreme negative power. I consider my self spiritual more than religous. To me: Religion=God<--->some other human<--->me, Spirituality=God<--->me. So in the attempts I prayed before and during the dreams to try to receive help and discernment during. This seemed to help, but I had a sense that I was walking a tightrope of worthyness and humility throughout.

Here's my first attempt. I would appreciate any opinions on my experience, and any descriptions of yours that are similar. The goal was to go to my old roomates house see what he was doing, make a mental note, then wake up call and see if It was correct. I asked his permission prior to going to sleep, and he lives about 390 miles away as the crow flys. I didn't make it to the right place to view from, I think.

1st Attempt (as recorded right after I woke up)

I was first awakened into my dream in a state of sleep paralysis, then lifted up out of my bed, torso first, and then my arms followed. As this was happeningI was asking God to continue to be with me. My body was then taken and floated to the point where I was levitating about six inches above my bed, then stopped and suspended in air for a moment. It then continued to rotate me forward with the center of my body as the axis of rotation. I was then rotated forward until reaching the bed(face down), when I went into the blackness. I still felt ok, so I continued to ask God to be with me, then told the dream(myself?) to take me to Colorado springs. I then started into a place I've never experienced, at speeds, times, and sounds I've never comprehended before. The tunnel went straight for a while, but I felt I was getting off course, so I told it to take me to C. springs again and it sped up and took me down to the right. After about a minute and a half I stopped very suddenly and hovered in darkness again. I was then lowered into a place of many colors and shapes of walls. I was in the middle of a clearing between these walls and saw no doors, but felt like they were everywhere. There was then codes or writing of a language I don't understand appearing and moving quickley over these walls, but too quickly for me to remeber them so I could write them down. For some reason I could hear myself thinking, but in a different time, or realm. I stood there pondering this mysterious double consiousness for about a minute. I then reminded my self to focus and stay on track of the original plan. I determined I was in the wrong place or realm to view my old roomate. I then again, attempted to travel to C. Springs with myself thinking somewhere else from me. I had two consiousnesses. It was almost as if I was two times smarter than normal. The one conciousness told me not to waste my time in the lucidity of the dream, and get going back on track , while "I", in the dream, was attempting to read and remember these codes. As I began to leave this place , back up into the darkness, I was semi-awakened, by someone entering my apartment ,whom I knew. I tried to tell them to let me sleep because I was dreaming. They said "alright", but when I tried to regain my place I awoke(reality) to feel as if my skin was super-heated and awe-struck & thankfuf to God in this experience.

I now regret thinking I was off track in my dream, because I now think I might have been in the right place, just not in the realm I expected.
