      Question Binaural beats

Hello. I'm interested in obtaining altered states of conciousness. What have you found to work the best using the beats. Ex: technique, setting, frequencies? Some advice would be helpful.

best thing to do is use headphones (have to use some at least decent quality ones or it wont work) sit in complete darkness, id usually tie something like a bandana around my eyes just to keep myself from looking around if i got bored. i found the most comfortable position to be laying on my stomach, but thats how i sleep so just try and find the most comfortable positon for yourself. and try to focus on the beats, the more you focus on it it seems like the more intense they get and you get real into it etc. alot of them that i tried didnt really do anything...some of them had somewhat of an effect and some of them definately did something. i read that everybody can have different reactions to them. i kept the volume all the way up.

and if you get high on pot, if your into that, it seems to help both the listening process and the afterwards effects seem alot stronger.

Pretty much the same as Foulness, but I try to combine the beats in my head (makes it a little less boring.. you know, a hum instead of wu~wu~wu), if you listen to the same track several times, you start to sync to it better, and to other ones too...

eh... other than that, dim lighting, few distractions/noise, try no to move, good headphones, lay down.. i like lying on my back. I read volume doesn't do anything, as long as you can hear it and are comfortable you should be good.

i use idoser, what do you use?

Free & open source, very effective too.
Theres a lot you can do with that program so check it out, and I had completely forgotten about it till I found this thread.
You are a child of the universe. No less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

      Acid!

"it's a poor sort of memory that only works backwards,"
