That sounds awesome. Cool.
Hi everyone!
My name is Nick. I run a forum called Sea Life (sealife.dreamofpeace.net)... The name of our forum was inspired by a conscious dream journey to the year 2012, where I discovered, that I was working with a team of others, who were interested int he use of our dreams to explore our evolutionary potential! You see in dreams, we can not only venture forward to future possibilities, but we can use the images and information we receive, to activate a life path, more in touch with the wishes of the heart. In dreams, we discover, the future truly is accessible in the here and now, and then we can allow that vision to attract us towards it..
Here's a write up of those first adventures to 2012... (there have been more)
http://www.dreamofpeace.net/thewaves/01ourway2012/
It is my belief, that rather than being attended by some kind of apocalypse, 2012 actually is a signpost, which shows that us a new form of consciousness is now emerging, a deeper planetary consciousness. Thus (for example), all over the net, what we are seeing now is the rise of dreaming forums worldwide, once again we are returning to the active exploration of our dreams... A very beautiful thhing, one might add.
I like this Dreamviews forum. I really respect the way all the different teams come together (research team, art team, etc). Amidst, such a large forum, it's great to have such a clear demonstration of the community spirit that you've got going. I love taking the energy of our dreams, and bringing it into the waking world.
About two and a half years ago, I started a site called Dreampeace, in the belief that we could use our dreams, to bring peace not only to ourselves (in terms of getting to know ourselves better,a nd being able to deal with emotions, and get the most out of life), but also in being able to share and create things, which inspire peace in others. A few months ago, my friend pasQuale who runs the LD4all forum (ld4all.com), had a dream in which she dreamt...
So upon waking from this dream, pasQuale posted me her story, and I came to the conclusion that I should set up this "Dream of Peace Network" and link not just the different forums together, but also provide a unified place for us to share our creations, and also participate in joint dream-ins and research projects with one another.as i am asleep my husband comes in talking softly on the phone. he speaks in dutch and wispers in order not to disturb me.
later i wake up (still in the dream) and ask him who was on the phone
he said: it was your father warning that world war 3 was going to start and it had to do with vietnam. i shouldt look at my laptop anymore for at least one hour.
i said to my husband) : oh my father worries too much, he sees all that bad stuff on the news and believes there is only bad stuff happening in the world.
that is why i (we?) are with the dream of peace network; to try and create things that bring peace and positivity into the world.
as i say it i realize i cannot remember actually being a member and that feels weird because i am so sure i am one
so now i just went online to the dreamofpeace site to sign up somewhere but there is no such thing.
i feel this dream is important, so i pm you this.
it could be mydreamself meant the peacetrain, but it specifically said dreamofpeace.[/b]
For those who are interested in 2012, here's a link to our 13 Moon Calendar, "Journey of the Peace Train" (which was throughly inspired by dreams), as an example:
http://www.dreamofpeace.net/journey/
So just as a way of opening it to dialogue, what do others think of the significance of 2012? What about the idea of using our dreams to create peace in the world, or to explore our evolutionary potential?
I hope I haven't talked too much about my own projects. Just trying to reach out to others, I guess. I love hearing other people's perspectives....

All the skeptics here are probably thristing for your blood.![]()

Aren't you king of the DVs skeptic nation, K?
Well, even though I often weigh in on the side of Kaniaz's skeptic horde, I don't know how to feel about 2012. I had a vision years ago (when I was in the habit of having visions) that I would die sometime in the 2011-2016 timeframe, amidst some kind of social upheaval, but the scale of this upheaval and the nature of my death seemed very unfixed. Since then, I've found the gist of this vision corroborated by various sources, from Robert Heinlein to the neo-Mayans, but that could as easily indicate a fiction entrenched in the collective unconscious as an actual approaching event. In any case, I'll be paying attention for the next decade.
If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

I'm not sure if I'm saying anything that should especially worry the skeptics. First of all, I don't think that the future is necessarily pre-determined. I'm saying that in dreams, we can venture forward to possible future manifestations of our life path, and bring back guidance from what we experience...
I think there is alot of immediate skepticism around 2012, and I think that's fair enough, given that there are all kinds of exaggerated predictions and "prophecies" for 2012. No, I don't believe 2012, represents the end of the world, or the apocalypse. The Mayan calendar which determines the 2012 "end-date" is contained of cycles within cycles within cycles, all spinning and whirring together.. And so in Mayan belief, 2012 is not really just an end-date but also the beginning of a new cycleMatter into Feeling by F. A. Wolf, Ph.D:
“The dream experiences of Australian Aboriginal people indicate that the needed characteristic arises, is first born, in dreams. Each creature dreams of the possibility for the next evolution, so that, for example, the fish dreams of the amphibian and the amphibian dreams of the bird, and so on. That is, we first dream in order to become aware of our future possibilities --- the new ways that each one of us may exist. And the ability to sense oneself as something new or altered seems to be vital for survival, for altering the genetic code.”[/b]
Here's a good (and colourful link), which explains the astrological alignments the date is fixed upon:

However, for those who are interested in some very good academic writing on the topic, I think John Major Jenkins book "Maya Cosmogenesis 2012" would be the way to go..

Through dreams, I believe we can learn more about the significance of 2012... After billions of years of our planet evolving, from the geosphere (inanimate matter), to the biosphere (biological life), it's my belief that what is now gradually emerging is the awakening of our planetary consciousness, the "Noosphere", the unified mental envelope of our Earth. The birth of a dreaming culture, is central to that process.
By sharing our conscious dreams, we can begin to understand the potential of the mind, and explore those higher states of consciousness. The first step, is to start bringing the raw energy of the dreamtime, into the here and now. This is very much the basis of the Dream of Peace Network, bringing "dreams" into concrete manifestation...

I should say welcome now anyway, it is nice to have people from ld4all, sealife and whatnot on Dreamviews as well. A good mix never hurt anybody.
Lol. Kanniaz!
Yes it is good to see you again!
Thanks for the greeting!

Hey Taosaur. i think i can relate to some of your experiences. However, if it were my dream, iw ould also wonder about the dream symbolism of "death". It may not necessarily, represent the death of the physical body, but death/change in another personal way (a serious life transition, for example).Originally posted by Taosaur

I have however had some similar visions, and I think one of the things i learnt from those, was about working with fear. Allowing myself to release and let go attachments to visions, which didn't really serve my heart's wishes. I find that idea of the dreams being a "fiction entrenhed in the collective unconscious" very interesting too..
Perhaps, by incubating a dream on 2012, you can return with a vision that you would genuinely like to manifest..
Just some thoughts....

My apologies Taosaur. I assumed you had the "vision" in that twilight zone of the night. I guess it gets hard to distinguish between waking and dreaming visions, at times
PS. Who are these "Neo-Mayans"? What do you mean by the term? What are your thoughts on planetary consciousness? Have you heard the term "noosphere" before?
The term is relatively new to me, but as of the last few months I have been participating in daily meditations designed to activate that larger planetary consciousness, both on an internal and external level. I would love to talk about the power of the 13 Moon Natural Time Calendar, in bringing that consciousness to the forefront of our lives, if anyone is interested...?
