      Entering other peoples dreams?

Can you use lucid dreaming to enter other peoples dreams?

      Heh

lol i suppose but thats more for people with a special powers. like some of us we have to power to dream wat ever we want but some people (rarely)leave their dream body and probably enter other peoples dreams. Unless if u and ur friend knows how to lucid u 2 can think of a place to dream about and wat it is about then dream it. thats kind of how i think i can do it.

Someone wrote in this forum that one time, he and he´s friend were in the same dream. So I guess it is not impossible... But it is rare.
Thinking about it now, it would be awesome...
You could be dreaming right now...

Expanding on the question with no answers.

This could be part of the 90% of our brain that we do not use. Perhaps 2 Lucid dreamerz could try it?? But the theory would have to be tested proper. I mean if 2 dreamers decide they were going to meet somewhere, both dreamers could have a dream of meeting the other in this locality. But these would be 2 separate dreams. I wonder if 2 dreamers could pass a message across to each other. Something simple, but something to prove that it was the same dream. Perhaps a verbal message, or a body gesture. It would definately take two adept Lucid Dreamerz to pull it off, But I for one would love to know the results. Wouldn't the Dreamerz have to be dreaming at the exact time also??? WOW.. Syncronized Dreaming.. Now there's the Olympic Sport of 2040.

      ahah

yeah, I saw that show. funny!!!!11

I went to this site and learn this thing that to go to other people's dreams, you have to be in a lucid state first. Then you imagine a bridge heading towards the person you wanna intrude, then you go across the bridge and into the person's dream. But also, the thing I read said if the person looks like he doesn't want you, you probably should not go into that person's dreams.

      oh yeah

I had this dream yesterday. When I woke up, I was wondering whether a perosn went into my dream or not becuase in my dream, I was the greatest soccer player ever, and everybody knew it. But then my friend comes up and scores on me, and this friend seems unlike the other dream characters. Even talks different. SO I sat there, thinking, "Maybe he went into my dream"

how would you really know that you ever entered another person's dream
in stead of just a reflection of what it could be?
assuming that you did dream with someone: since not every dream is remembered,
you could have dreamt with someone and they would not be able to confirm it,
even if it was true. but your own experience has value, so even if it was not
them for real, it was your understanding of their persona. ie, their personality
based upon all of your experience with them.

from an existentialist point of view, one might argue that everyone you ever know
is nothing more than a collection of memories and impressions within your head and heart.
therefore, is this person who was in a dream with you reality? one could choose both answers.

from my opinion, dreaming with people could be true. it is not something i've personally
experienced, so perhaps the depth of my comments is less emotional than some others.
nevertheless, i think it is truly rare for a true shared dream to occur.
scientifically, it would only be solid evidence if the individuals had never thought of dreaming
together before the recorded event (to avoid a pre-bias) and if numerous factual details
could be produced by both individuals in a double-blind manner (ie, both sending letters to a
3rd party who would not influence the other's statements, thereby avoiding the fortune-teller effect)
however, i do believe it is possible and that by dreaming of someone, even if it is unconfirmed,
we are thinking of their spirit. perhaps when you spirit is replicated by other's thoughts,
      you can 'hear' it.
when i think of others, i smile and hope they think of me.

      to a global consciousness,
      love
      wurm

thinking out loud stuff follows. feel free to skip as it is incompleteSo, for a dream that you feel you\'ve dreamt with someone, we could have the following
      explanations be possible:

-you really did dream together and was not possible to confirm

-you did not really dream together; ABSOLUTE= facts do not match up (e.g. sleeping at different times, etc)

-you did not really dream together; SPECULATIVE= doubt that it was real

not true. Going into other people's dreams is more than a dream. It's more of a psychic ability.

Well, its certainly possible. My wife has entered my dream and annoyed me
Never managed to replicate it again, because the circumstances were very specific I think

If you feel like reading some hard research into this, google for 'ganzfeld experiment'
Read up on the results of the ganzfeld and autoganzfeld trials - very interesting statistically.
Its not exactly shared dreaming, but its related.
Sharing a dream means you are communicating telepathically in a dream state - at some level at least.

I think that this is more of a psychic ability because it's not natural- just like telepathy or mind reading.

To join another person in a dream is pretty amazing. I have never done it myself, but I have some friends who had very similar detailed dreams in the same night. Coincidence? I have no idea. I think another term for this is Dreamscaping. A lot of amazing things happen when you least expect it and I believe it's possible. Psychic abilities are actually natural like telepathy and mind reading, some people are born with it and others learn and practice. We all are capable of having Psychic abilities and Lucid Dreaming is a step towards it. It's all Universal and everything relates to each other; dreaming, divination, palmistry, astrology, numerology, animals, and basically everything is connected to each other in some way.

This sounds like it could be cool.I suppose if you could control what type of dreams you have, you could tell yourself to dream about the same that someone else is ... see what happened.
      #Doubt it would work though.
I think maybe it would be a physic kind of thing.

      Lol

Lol, when i had a lucid dream on saturday i tried this lol
I think it was over the top though, because once in the lucid dream, i said to myself, because i can control what happens, i wanted to dream what a friend was dreaming of. (she has a husband btw.) I started shaking/vibrating and heard the wind noise, then, what i felt...
I was lying on a bed, with someone beside me, cuddling in to me, then i started dreaming of some people i didnt even know..
I think this was just a bit over the top though, and it was just something i wanted to happen.
      What do you think??

The unfortunate reality is that most shared dreams turn out to be just an overactive imagination
That also means you can't assume it to be legit, until you have some reason to
And 'if felt so real' is not a good reason.... I've had dozens of dreams like that, that are total bull

Is there any way of confirming it?

ofcourse there is a way to confrim it. If you ever think you are having one, tell the other person something they would never think of you aying then ask them later on. If they know surely it was.

Of course, but she doesn't necessarily know that it was her friend that she shared the dream with
She could ask the friend first ... sure...

A shared dream would be based on telepathy.
I heared it more from ppl under hypnosis, a small part of ppl under hypnosis
answers the question be fore asked, so just when its in other persons thoughts but not yet spoken yet.
I think telepathic talent and empathy plas a big role here and the bondage between the to persons.
Based on that it will always be a rare thing.

Yep, my belief of it is identical to LucidApple here...
It's essentially telepathy and empathy, and the closer the person is to you, the easier it is to understand and merge the two views of the dream. And make the telepathic connection too, I bet.

      Same dream

I've had this happen several times, with my sister and with my daughter. Sometimes they were comical. One dream I was driving down a dead-end road, with my daughter in the car. At the end of the road was a hotel. We turned around and left and were now on seperate motorcycles riding side by side. Next morn, my daughter told me her dream and she had the exact same dream. But my favorite of all was...one night when I was going to sleep, I was studying 'wolf'. Wondering why I hadn't had any 'wolf dreams' lately. That night I had a dream but it was only on the changing of the seasons. The next morning my daughter (in jr. high at the time) said, "Mom, I had the weirdest dream last night." I stopped everything when I had a sense of knowing, and she said. "I dreamt a white wolf came to our gate in front of our house. At first I was scared, but I realized it had a hurt paw so I went to the vet hospital down the road, and brought back bandaging material. I brought the wolf in, and it sat still as I bandaged it's injured paw. It was sooo real!" Not exactly the same dream, but still interesting in that she had no idea what I was looking for in my dreams that night. And a changing of the seasons seemed appropriate.
