Umm..what your doing looks more like WILD to me? Not sure..OBEs can come from WILDs I think..not sure..im not really an expert when it comes to Astral Projection/OBEs

Right now I'm trying to Astral Project/OBE. I know that I have to be conciously awake, but the body sleeping. I try to concentrate on something so that I won't completely fall asleep and dream, but I obviously fail since I wake up the next morning not remembering what really happened last night. Can anybody give me tips?
BTW I have already experienced this "surge of energy" that you're supposed to feel. Amazingly I felt this surge on my first try, but I just couldn't separate as I was still awake and I just got frustrated that I couldn't separate so I stopped and went to bed normally.
Are there signs that will show if I'm sleeping, but still awake and aware of my surroundings or that I can have an OBE? Thanks in advance. This has been troubling me for a while now.![]()

Nightowl, don't try it at night as you are about to go to sleep. Try it after we have slept for 6-7 hours. Try it when you wake up in the morning before you even twich a muscle. Let the body be still and focus then. You can also become lucid in a dream and bring the conciusness back to your body. It will come with practice. Your surge of enregy is a great sign
What is a WILD?
WILD stands for Wake-Induced -Lucid Dream. It's when you enter a lucid dream from the waking state, meaning you didn't fall asleep, enetered a dream and then became lucid. WILDS are best done when you wake up earlier than usual, stay awake, for a half-hour, and then go back to bed and enter a dream awake.
