    Lucidity vs Astral Projection

What is the difference between the two? What if you are lucid dreaming about astral projection? Can evil spirits follow you home when you astrally project? How do you know if you are astrally projecting? I'm a little confused.

I think (but I'm not sure) that astral progection takes place in the hypnogogic state, not during REM sleep. Since similar sensations take place in the transition between being awake and dreaming it most likely happens in a state very close to a dream, but with lower brainwaves. Of coarse just because it is similar to a dream doesn't mean it isn't real!

In my experience astral projections (OBEs) have several characteristics that differ from Lucids. Levitation, or flying is one. A keen sense of bodily motion is another. Blurry vision at the onset is a third.

While flying is common in Lucids, combined with a hightened sense of motion and with blurred vision it's a safe bet you're having an OBE.
Furthermore, an OBE feels very different from an LD. It's hard to describe that difference but you'll know it when you experience it.

I shouldn't worry about evil spirits tagging along; if you encounter any they will probably be your own projected or personified fears. Just wish them peace and withdraw your attention from them and they will transform into something benign or vanish.

Oh, and one more thing - it's nearly always bright and sunny in my dreams, but in projections it will be nighttime if I'm projecting at night.

    Two Paths

From my research , Lucidity and Astral Projection corespond each one two a path .

Lucidity corespond to Internal Path , to Inner World of the Mind , a world without laws and limits , with her own sensations , feelings and so on , where only real existence are you .

Astral Projection corespond to External Path , the Outer World of the Soul , a world without limits , but , most important , with laws , where exist an infinite number of eternal sparks , a world , also , with her own sensations , feelings and so on .

The Astral Projection take place in real world , where Lucid take place in our minds .

I hope this will help you .

OBE to me feels like normal life except as soon as you leave the body there is a sense of being in another dimension, being alone and a feeling of some kinda wisdom/knowledge. What you know you forget when you wake up but you remember that something was revealed to you immediately upon reaching OBE. It usually stops me from panicking like I do during LD.

I actually never flew or moved with the speed of thought during OBE like I do in a LD. What I do is just walk around the house. If I do decide to leave it I'll have to actually open the doors - won't be able to walk throgh them like during LD.

well this is what i have read that AP and LD are 2 VERY deffriant thing AP is when you have an OBE but the deffriance is that you are floating about the real world not the dream world so you could fly over 2 france but LDing is when you are in the dream world and you just relize that u are dreaming an then you can do dream control. they are 2 very deffriant things.

    hope this helps

I'm not sure about the evil spirits...but I have countlessly astrally projected in my sleep to Ireland. I didn't even know that this was astral and not lucid dreams until I found out that the castle I kept visiting was an actual place.

For me it is that 'knowing' in your dream that you just 'know' it is something more. You will seem to make conscious decisions...saaay, someone has a dream that they are killing a dog, but they love dogs. That's just a psychological dream. But if you are astral, and you see a dog, and you love dogs, you could make a conscious decision not to hurt that dog or to pet it or whatever, you get my point lol.

In astral, you will also notice that things follow more of a storyline or flow in a chronological order. In dreams, things can be hectic and shizophrenic and ADD to say the least.

    ~Hope this helped.
