My brain plays endless tricks on me

I have dreams that I just woke up from my bed! And when I really do i'm late! Does anyone else have the same experience?

What you have just described is commonly known as a false awakening and yes it can be very tricky. Some dreamers experience multiple FA's in one session. That,s where a reality check may help.

Yup, false awakenings are very common. They can also be very intense, and sometimes frightening.
I think it has something to do with your subconscious being aware of the need to wake up. This might be why I think FA's are a little more common with lucid dreams than non-lucid, because you're aware you're sleeping, and you're aware of the need to wake up, so your mind creates a scene in which you're waking up.

I am dreaming ( I dont recall any of it ) and then I have a FA and I look around my room, get out of bed ,walk out of my room and proceed towards the kitchen where I find my mother washing dishes.

While the dream is fresh in my mind I start telling her all about it.as she seems interested and listens carefully. I tell her just what happend which took a few minutes of explaining.

Then I wake up again for real and I cant recall anything that I told my mother?
I tried for days after to remeber anything I told her but nothing.... almost like a false memory or something.
