OBE's Are Not Present Time?

I think you all would find this very interesting to hear. I was so excited about this and frightened that I couldn't wait to log on and share it with you all. I've had the capability to have OBE's since I was a young child and I mostly used them to Induce Lucidity. But as I gotten older and learned more of myself I no longer use OBE's to induce LD's. This forum has inspired me to push my abilities futher just when I was getting settled with normal routines you all have given me motivation.

I've decided to push my abilities of OBE's and something interesting happened. I laid on my couch earlier today to take a quick nap. about 20 min's or so passed and it hit me. Sleep Paralysis, Im still fully conscious so I figured why not, lets do a time check. I go through all the rushing sensations that you feel as I mentally float myself upwards and away from my physical body. Something was different that happened as I proceeded to float, I could hear people screaming around me but had no idea where it was coming from. I didn't think to much of it because Im on a mission. I gotta float down the hall to the kitchen and check the clock, (like a dummy I didn't put my alarm clock near me, then I wouldn't have to make a long trip) Anyway I increased my speed because I cannot attain OBE's very long. As I flew faster toward the kitchen I noticed the bathroom light was on but I never looked in there I got to the kitchen and flew a bit to close to the counter at such a fast rate the wind knocked the cup down off the counter I looked backed at it watched it hit the floor before I knew it I flew past the Microwave so I had to quickly turn around and take a quick look at the time. And I did It! it was 1:40PM I thought to myself "I got it!" I immediately brought myself out of it and I jumped up from the couch and ran top speed down the hall to check the microwave clock. But then I noticed something When I was OB the bathroom light was on I looked at the bathroom and there was no light on. I stopped in my tracks and Said to myself SHIT! It was a damn Lucid Dream. I walked to the Kitchen and yup the Clock said 11:38AM I was pissed I thought to myself this OBE crap isn't worth the effort! So I left home to run a few errands and came back about 1:25PM or some minutes after that put my Sprite down on the counter in the kitchen and I felt this feeling of De Ja Vu! but I just didn't think anything more of it. I went into bathroom to wash my face and What happened next made the hair on my arms stand up. I felt something breeze past me Like hot Humid Wind and I stood there for a second thinking someone is in my house then moments later I hear the cup hitting the kitchen floor. So im walking to my bedroom to get my gun then I looked on my dresser at the time and it said 1:41PM I stopped dead in my tracks and said NO F**KING WAY! I ran to the kitchen and the cup was on the kitchen floor. When I looked at the Microwave time it said 1:42 by this time and I knew it Somehow during that OBE I must have skipped over time. It freaked me out but at the same time I was so happy tears came to my eyes.

Oh my goodness

... what a great story Shadow!!! It's like you went into the future and actually changed something in the physical world.
I was reading your story like I would a suspense novel (because as I was reading it I could tell you were going to drop something juicy).

What a feeling and you my dear one HAVE NOOOO FEAR!!! I believe this is why you can explore and test things. I admire that bravery of yours.

Keep sharing please. When's the next test???

Thank you very much Blissful. I really appreciate that you did take the time out to read my lonnnnnggg post..haha. I've really gotten more excited about OBE's thats for sure, although I cannot Will OBE's so im not really sure when I will get the chance to test it futher. I actually tried lying back down on the couch right after that because I was so excited I want to leave the rooms I want to go outside. Every OBE I had I never left the house but after a few more test around the house Im going to take it out doors, Unfortunately I can only have OBE's during sleep paralysis and that happens to me like once every other week. So as soon as I find myself with S-P again then I will definately try to futher my quest into understanding this more. So whenever that does happen I will post more of my results. Thanks again Blissful I know you have the gift also and just like me you find the concept of OBE's more intresting then LD's. Stay focused.

Check out The butterfly effect movie, its not out yet though.

It kinda had me creeped out because the main characters name is Evan... and well its not a common movie name The guy uses some kind of meditative possibly lucid dreaming or OBE to get back into the past and tries to change things, but everything gets all fubared. Anywhoo

In my experiences with OBE, I noticed that time didn't seem to mean anything. Have you ever heard of Missing Time Syndrome? It's usually associated with alien abductees, but I've heard of it happening with OBEers too. That or extreme deja vu.

I wonder if alien "abductees" have experienced lucid dreams or something equivalent, but do not realize how to translate the experience accurately...

I guess that's a tangent... Has this already been covered?

I have heard of the Missing Time Syndrome, where someone is abducted by Aliens and what appears to be hours or even days that go by but once they are returned in actuality they were only gone for like a couple seconds. I haven't heard of it happening to OBEers but I wouldn't rule it out at this point. Something about the concept of time and space in regards to that plane doesn't measure up the same as in the waking world.

Thanks Howetzer for reading my material. I really don't experience Deja Vu very often but sometimes I can feel when somethings bad around the corner. You know that feeling like something just hit you in your Gut. Yeah usually when I get that bad feeling then whatever it is usually comes to past that same day.

But I never changed anything in the future. As far as I realize I never went off track from what I was supposed to do. I put that cup of sprite on the counter, and I went into the bathroom and turned on the light. When I was OB all of these events were just that, cup on the table light in the bathroom. Or maybe im missing something Im trying to get another OBE but I can't get sleep paralysis for the life of me.

Nah as far as I remembered I felt pretty normal. I wish I can do this again. I feel Like I've completely lost the ability to OBE. I don't have a clue what thr Flock! is going onl. It was sooo very easy to capture it now Im slipping into Lucid dreams trying to catch a free ticket to OBE's by way of WILD's.. Well at least I've been having a more significant increase in WILD's. I think 85% of my Lucid Inductions are basically WILD Induced.

Yah Im extremely excited about doing it again if I can catch it again. I haven't even gotten decent sleep paralysis since. But im still trying. I hope you're successful in tapping into this wonderful experience good luck bro!

Yep I actually tried it with this particular OB experience that I have listed here. And I tried to do a time check but it didn't work out to well for me. I still don't totally know if I was actually in real time or was it some kind of impersonation of the events that were transpired from this type of dreaming. Im not sure but when I do the next one I will do more Reality Checks whenever I can capture it again.

pimpshit. Here's what you wanna do. You have to realize that OBEs can be willed if you emulate everything you did when you first had an OBE. and I don't mean the place.

Stuff like what was your attitude towards the OBE? You probably had an attitude in which it didn't matter if it happened or not. You said that yourself.

If you analyze exactly how you felt at taht time and feel that way when you try again you might get some good results.

Just a suggestion.

My explantion to this is...nothing

1.Perhaps u sublinally set these occurances up in your mind, (all this happening while your consouse mind had no clue) and the just played on them cause you really wanted to belive

2.Or maybe you didn't changed the future, just saw a glimps of it. Precog to say. Not Knowing it was really going to happen. As for the rush of cold air could be link to number 1.

Every 1 has an internal clock, iv programmed mind to respond to any x:11 Like 9:11 or 12:11, you could have just expected a rush at the moment.

Anyways out of all those dumb thereiories id rather belive yours. You time changing thing is so kool.

Hey thanks Shawndow. I think you've brought up some very interesting points. I never thought of it that way. I tell ya something Im starting to look at this in a new light now thats for sure. Based off your first comment in regards to me setting the occurances up in my mind, would be very interesting. I think it would suggest something more inside of us thats hidden and we just haven't tapped into that part of our mind yet. I still haven't had one since and I used to get them all the time. Maybe I need to eat more Wheaties.. haha. Thanks again!

I have been sleeping and have had an OBE where i can see the time on my alarm clock in front of my bed, and woken up and that is the time on my alarm clock, this has happened about 4 times, and once i saw the time on my alarm clock was 11:36 in a dream, i woke up at about 9:30, and went back to sleep and the next time i woke up it was 11:36. This was what proved to me that OBEs were real and not just dreams. And i too continuously looked at clocks at 9:11 or 5:11 or 12:11, i would look at those times on clocks practically every single day

..... that hasnt happened tho in about 2 years so i guess that part of me is gone

Well, I've had conversations with a friend that closely ties with this...

Thanks to philosophies and religions, we can hypothesize that our spirits are eternal. So, when we dream, we exercise the spiritual side more, and that eternal aspect of us can experience things, regardless of time or location, meaning that we can experience different dimensions.

That is awesome. I got a little freaked out over my first lucid dream - but thats crazy.
The older I get the more I realize you cannot rule anything out.
Do you have a lot of Dejavues (sp?) I wonder if that coincides with anything having to do with those?

I'm no OBE expert, but I always thought part of the OBE phenomenon included the fact that you will not have a detectable presence in the physical world. Like how could something immaterial cause air movement or a cup to fall from the table?
