I think you are asking about AP...
OBE is simply going out of your physical body in the current dimension (ie, waking), while AP is in different planes of existance/dimensions (ie, dream-like)
Don't know about how it fits with christianity and alike religions though, I heard from a priest that if you induce it, you are a witch though lol

I don't believe in the Astral plane or other dimensions but if you want to find out more about OBEs and how to have them just look up the WILD induction technique. Put it in on Google and try a few different sights, it will tell you all you could ever want to know.

Read about ones where they accuratly describe things they cannot possibly know. Those are the ones i am intrested in, not the fake religious stuff ones. Most OBE's are hallucinations, the ones that are not hallucinations are something to really look at. What is it? how come they can have one and i can't? things like that there should be answers for. OBE does not mean it's your spirit, it just means it's an unknown that needs further research, and should not be treated like afterlife. It's some type of outside perspective.

I practice a form of Astral Projection called "Journeying". While doing this, I separate my energy body from my physical body and gain access to an alternate experience.

While in this alternate experience, I have the ability to go anywhere and anywhen. I communicate with my Benefactor, Guides and Allies as well as others' Guides and Allies.

I do this for the purpose of Healing or seeking Understanding.

You clearly have a form of knowledge that none of us mere mortals could possible hope to understand.

How come you are not famous and proclaiming it to the world then?

Sorry to get wrapped up in suspicion but someone who had access to this kind of thing surely has incredible powers to manipulate the reality witnessed by all.

Well no... he wouldn't be manipulating the physical world now would he. Just experiment with WILDs yourself. Make up your own mind. Saying something is this or that is real, is not always practical. For one person belief in astral projection may make lucid dreaming easier, for another belief in lucid dreaming may make astral projection easier, because it doesn't act against their belief system. Which one is which? I don't know, and in reality I am not bothered, so long as it is realistic and I do not limit myself. I expect nothing, and therefore am in the best position to recieve anything. This kind of thought process may limit your abilities in a lucid dream, or whatever it is. So don't debate what can't be debated to another, just go and experiment for yourself.

As a pretty decent film once said: "Free your mind."
Don't try to put things into boxes so much, just do. Don't explain, just do - for now at least. I think we're not in the position to understand much yet.

It is hard to explain, but in a higher vibration then our physical world, there is the astral world. We humans are more then just our physical bodies. We have an astral body that is attached to our body. With skill and training, we can travel into the astral realms with our astral body. This is called astral projection. It is an occult practice, but is not dangerous/satanic or anything like that.

I don't see any connection between this and hell or heaven. What you are referring to is a near death experience.

Maybe they were hallucinations. Did you feel yourself leave your body? Was it hard to move once you did?

You appear quite condemning.

Generally, in this area, the more power one has the less one use it. Being wise is often shared with the access to the larger reality. The more one grows the less power used to manipulate reality.

You are giving to much into being able to go out of body, it is not a special power as you see it. It's not an "incredible" power in the way you think.

He wouldn't have the ability in the first place then. One does not get or achieve access by such intent. He has already stated his intent, healing and seeking understanding. Respect that intent.

Quite the contrary. Many people do this and more have done it throughout Human history. What I do is not at all significant or unique.
