Someone's trying to rock the boat, let us all point and laugh.
In this crazy world if they don't consider you mad, then you have no confirmation of your own sanity, do you?
Imagine if this crazy world thought you were sane?! Oh my God, worst nightmare!

Not the case I'm afraid, I regularly get sleep paralysis and have had the sensation of opening my eyes even tho I know I'm asleep, I'm not tekkin the piss, but praying for safety man come on. We obviously have different points of view on the whole phenomenon. Today is my first on this sight, I don't know why it took me so long to look up what was happening to me on the web but I am surprised by the amount of religious (read Christian) posters. Surely open mindedness means you can't subscribe to the mainstream GOD point of view whatever religion.

I'm glad I provoked a reaction from at least one person, everyone does seem to not want to rock the boat as you said, but for me that's where the real conversation lives.
Look at me, I can fly.

How was I supposed to get all that from an apparently-prejudiced one-word thread? Nevermind I don't care...

it's not that we don't want to rock the boat. we just try not to insult each other's very personal beliefs. we try not to stereotype each other here. that's openmindedness.

I choose my own destiny and believe in my own morals... I do not think of myself as God's servant but as God's friend.

For each soul is a God within.
Existance has no beggining nor end, but will always have purpose.

In John 10:34, Jesus quoted Psalms 82:6. where God tells people, "ye are gods"

In Acts 14:19, Paul is stoned( and not with erb), and is left for dead. He rouses and continues on. Fourteen years later he tells us of his NDE in 2 Corinthians 12:1. In describing himself as going to the 3rd heaven he refers to himself as this other person, in whom he will glory, rather than glory in his present physical,(animal/mammal), self.

In Isaiah 14, and Ezekiel 28 we are told of both Lucifer and other angels rebellion, and their fall, as well as the invisible governments behined the visble ones on earth. In respect to this, what made Lucifer rebel? Ego.

Why when tempted did Jesus deny the devil proof of His power and deity? Denial of Ego. Both in these examples and as well in Eastern teachings we see that the goal then is to deny ego...becoming more and more selfless.

In this all the major faiths agree.
If physicists say that matter is frozen light, and Stars symbolize both angels and people alike in the bible, then what does that make you?(angel)?

Denial of ego...The sole purpose which the Western world is denying, thus forcing them (us) into a living hell.

Why is this topic still going?

What's religion without a little politics? Hey, I may be a democrat, but I still feel for republicans sometimes, 'cuz I know they're people too -- as much as Michael Moore echoed Mel Gibson's Christ, slightly-in-a-way-if-you-really-look-at-it-or-just-listen-to-his-deranged-father Jew-wrath-invoking fervor with his Bush-bashing little ditty of a film, to try and get everyone to somehow think otherwise.

To sort of get back to the subject at hand, even if you're not a Christian, and if you somehow can't feel for them, or have some empathy, you can at least be decent enough to not lean in their faces and demean them, even with a single eye-rolling smiley.

*sighs* Well, that's my two-hundred sen.

incase everyone here with a belief in christianity hasnt noticed the bible contradicts itself constantly not to mention its been rewritten a lot so the original bible is probably very different to what we have now.

but yeah you cant really just turn round and say we all have our own beliefs and thats that they must all be questioned and if your belief is challenged you cant just turn round and ignore it.
