Second Failed Attempt to an OOBE - What Happened?
What brought me to this site was my research into oobe's. I had a lucid dream (always had them) but one particular lucid dream led me into an OOBE but backed out due to fear.
I did my research (lots of book reading), talked to a couple of trusted friends as well as with a couple of intellectual people one-on-one from this site and now felt ready.
Today, I took a nap on the couch, had a dream about a spirit standing behind me (I think it was my brother who passed away a few years ago) and I started to run scared. While running I thought: this is ridiculous.. why am I running? Then.. drum roll please............ ta daaaa, the vibrations I've been waiting for came on.
I tried to stay calm, kept telling myself not to fear, I rolled a little to the right (not my physical body of course) in hopes of trying to move out of my body, that didn't work, I stayed focused and noticed that it was harder to breathe. My chest felt heavy but I didn't want to increase my breathing pace because I was afraid it might wake me up out of the vibration. I then got scared because my breathing was difficult and heavy so I woke up.
For all you experienced OOBE's... what happened? Why when I'm really ready, was it so hard for me to lift up?
P.S. The body vibration... that feeling is so cool. WOW.

A lot of people feel it is difficult to achieve the separation. You can try rolling out like you did, or imagine yourself already out of the body. Can you see the room while you are vibrating? If so, you have already transferred your conciousness into the astral body.

The vibration is all over your entire body and for me it's not like the same tingling feeling when my foot or arm falls alseep. That feeling is more irritating. The vibration I'm talking about is all over the entire body and it comfortable in a way... like you know something is happening. If I had to describe it, it's like sitting in one of those fancy vibrational chairs that cost a couple thousand dollars.
And, my eyes are closed when vibrating. I'll have to try that next time I can't get out of body (maybe that might help). And visioning myself out is a good tip. Thank you guys for your help. I can't wait to try again.
