      shamanic journeying

      Does anyone else here practice this or have had experiences in it.
      I did a search in the forum and didn't get too much specifics on it. I learnt how to from Micheal Harners book using breathing control and 'entering' through a opening in the earth, but I'd love to hear how others do it. As well as their experiences.

      Yes. Interesting, i just returned from a journey where i dove into the earth and saw in there some intense colored lights that looked like some eyes peering at me. It gave me a little fright.

      Very cool, but I understand the freakiness of it too.

      What method do you use to get to the altered state?

      I enter otherworld through something like a groundhog hole that goes deep and turns and twists before coming to a slide like formation that ends up beside a river with a waterfall and cliff off to the right.

      I practice Shamanic Journeying as well as other Shamanic arts. Harner is a very good source to start with. The Foundation he established practices and teaches indigenous traditions from around the world.

      When you Journeyed, did you seek out your Allies and/or Benefactor?
