Thread: Video that "induces" AP. People find it works.

I got to a point where my body was feeling heavier, but didn't get any further.
Any idea on what to do when that happens?

You can stop whenever you want or your body will force you to get back at one point, dont worry, its totally safe

It appears the video creator was trying to use a binaural beat track to induce a dissociative feeling. In theory, binaural beats should work (I at least can say for sure that their visual counterpart works... The police use it, after all.) by bringing you to a different brain wave.

But the creator of this video fscked up, and didn't put it in stereo. Not in stereo=not really a binaural.

You're right. But the weird thing is, I tried it without reading the comments and felt all shakey and jolty. Not sure if that's really a placebo on me.

call me an old fashioned mystic! but I'm always afraid of sound altering your brain waves. from what I heard, its not good to pry your third eye or crown chakra open artificially - that there could be back lashes - actually making it harder to naturally AP

but I could be wrong, maybe these sounds are 'good' and induce the necessary chakras open to AP *shrugs*

Not sure what those are . I don't plan to OBE because they scare me and I don't want to be a "mystic". All that stuff scares me

Well it's not that I am scared it's just I don't want the silver "cord' thing to "break" and me being screwed and never coming back. And I really don't know if it's Anti Christian or anything like that(not saying it is at all), I am strong in my faith So I really am not going to take chances or anything.

But, did you try the video? Did it work?

I used to experiment with Binaural beats a lot.
In fact I had a few CDs published of my work.

This video is a complete balls up.


For binaural beats to have any effect whatsoever, it needs to be in Stereo and listend to via headphones. It is the same way that you couldn't do a "magic eye" stereogram 3d poster with one eye shut.

If you had any effect from this video, count yourself as very easily suggestable.
You'd probably find placebo and hypnosis work on you easily. It also means that you may be a little bit more gullable to advertising and scams than others. So be careful in what you believe in. Don't let people take you for a ride.

I personally believe that in order to achieve trancestate, almost anyting monotonic action can induce it.

True.
However in this case, it's just a situation wheres someones ignorance about binaural beats is spreading further confusion and miseducation.
the "bi" in binaural is the same as bi in bicycle... meaning two.
So playing something designed to be in stereo in mono is foolish at the very least.

Binaural beat recordings work by sending certain slightly different tones to the left and right ears. This creates a third "binaural beat" inside the mind at a specific frequency.

It simply wont work in mono.

I think that anyone experiencing an altered state from listening to this is
just very suggestable. Or hasnt really spent any time just watching thier mind. Because if you spend time just relaxing, strange things happen on thier own.

I haven't studied soundwaves that much I could comment very much, but I have long experience of inducing trance though =)

Agree with you that drumming is a great way to induce altered states of mind.

I think it's related to the 9 months we spend in the womb listening to nothing but a beat!

Would you mind pointing us in the direction of a source of correct binaural beats?

I listened to the video three times yesterday, 2 times in row.

Nothing happened.

The video's sound quality was too low, no binaural beat.
