My definition of a dream would be:
A display of your personal representation system filtered through the deployment of your awareness.
Same for reality.

I got involved in some thread about what people thought LD really was and
what Reality really was. We started arguing about what would be true and
what not and I think I have offended some people. Sorry for that. I thought
that it would be better if we had a thread on which everyone would post
what they really think the LD world is and what the real world is....
What LD really is... You say what you think the LD world is. Do you think its
your own world that your brain creates or do you think its a real world
completly different from yours? Share your theories
What the real world is.... You say if you think the real world is just a dream
or if its real. Get more detailed than this. If you think this is a dream. WHat
do you think the real world is like?
I think that for everyone's sake we shouldn't debate on who's right and who's
not but mostly share our theories and analyze all the possibilities. I am the
first one I should reprimend. [BAD ME]
Oh, and if you could find a name to your theory, it would be cool. I'll try
copying/pasting all of them right here so everyone can see them:
LD world Theories:
1. A display of your personal representation system filtered through the deployment of your awareness. [From The Cusp]
2. the bulk of the dream is created by the subconscious but its my consciousness thats writing the story. [From Juroara]
Real World Theories:
1. A display of your personal representation system filtered through the deployment of your awareness. [From The Cusp]
2. the bulk of the real world is created by [God] but its our consciousness thats writing the story. [From Juroara]

I don't think I have the answers yet, especially about reality
I'm still exploring the idea of consciousness creating reality. The consciousness that created that universe is the one believers have called God - except they are also apart of this bubble as co-creators, parts of the whole consciousness.
I did have an interesting LD last night, where my only goal was to explore the dream and nothing else. This made me realize how every thought, doesn't matter how tiny it was, is always manifests in the dream some where. Some of my bigger thoughts made big changes in the dream. Like if I think this giant blob monster is going to attack me, he tries to attack me - or if I think he's a lonely blob monster - I find him sulking in the corner.
I never before have seen how the smaller, more subtle thoughts have manifested. But I found every thought. Some of the smaller thoughts didn't have a big impact on the dream - they just manifested as taped pictures on the wall. And only when I go up to the wall and examine the pictures do I realize, I was thinking this earlier. If hadn't examined the wall, I wouldn't have seen how those thoughts manifested.
This gave me a different perspective of the LD that I think can relate to reality
the bulk of the dream is created by the subconscious. My subconscious seems to magically create this world with characters. Since I'm not conscious of my subconscious activity, the creation of this dream world 'seems' out of my control
but its my consciousness thats writing the story. It's the one deciding what is good and what is bad, what will happen, and what changes take place in the dream world
from the very moment you start dreaming, you have been making 'changes' to the dream world, re-creating it or creating within its matrix. The subconscious only created a platform, or a matrix - after that its entirely up to you.
I believe reality is the same way in this respect. That we are co-creating within a given matrix
I wouldn't describe the dream as a 'place'. Because the mechanism behind the dream are thoughts, and thoughts are always changing. But, I do believe that within this thought manifestation illusion - there can be other real conscious beings interacting with you
Because while last night made me realize that yes every thought will manifest in the dream - not all dream characters have followed my thoughts. I've met many dream characters in the past who didn't do as I thought they would. They've surprised me. I've had life like conversations with these characters, non of my thoughts, good or bad influenced them in any way what so ever. They were just doing their own thing. And, sometimes I see them in more than one dream.
I'm open to the idea of the astral and that they were real people that I was interacting with
But I'm also open to the idea that they weren't just real people, they were me. They were manifestations of my subconscious directly, not mindless zombies to fill in the space, but actual conscious dream characters filled with my subconscious as a way for my subcon. to communicate to me. And since my subcon. was trying to communicate directly to me - it wasn't going to let me tell it what to do or say.
Either scenario imply something BIG. Because the latter implies that the subconscious can be conscious, and a consciousness you are not perceiving as your own. Implying, your subconscious can actually be the consciousness of another being that you are apart of, such as your higher self, your I AM presence or God.
Or rather, there is no subconscious. Only conscious that either perceives or doesn't perceive itself.

Really interesting. I've tried transforing it in short form at the top. Hope I didn't change anything from its source in process. Really interesting analyzes though![]()

According to current science, matter is cause of thoughts and dreams. But, if you realize time only exists in our mind, and out there, in reality, there is only "now", then you can see that it is impossible to determine which is the cause, and which is the effect. So it could as well be that our thoughts are the cause, and that matter is the effect. Just like recent science is starting to discover, the wave-particle duality for example.
If dreams/thoughts/imagination are the creative force behind reality, then dreams/thoughts/imagination are as real as reality itself, and maybe even more real or more important, they are the very seeds that reality springs from. Of course, because the memory of the most of us sucks and we can't remember what happened last week and most of us can't even remember our dreams we had just a second ago, it's very hard to see for ourselves the causes and the effects of our thinking, dreams and our actions in a long term, and realize how we are the writers of the play we call life.
To me dreaming and thinking are like planning your actions, writing your play. The better the planning, the better the results will be the next day. Your life is also a dream in slow motion. The better your life, the better the planning, the better the world will be for the next generation. Of cousre, not everyone thinks like this, but it's a good thing a few among us do, or we would still be living in caves.

Interesting Chaybachayba!
I've just learned what Matter was yesterday!
(I wanted to post it with the others but I can't EDIT it anymore)
