Hey everyone. I've been doing RC's ever 20 minutes for that past 4 days and I've been writing in my DJ every night and i can remember 1 or 2 dreams a night. I still cant have a lucid dream. that was the first problem.
second is that lately i have been dreaming that im lucid dreaming. anyway if i do an RC in that dream im not going to become lucid because i already think im in a lucid dream.
any suggestions?

Hey, I think you should just keep doing what youve been doing. 4 days isnt that long of time. What are you doing for your RCs?

Mainly trying to put my finger though my hand. sometimes i hold my nose to see if i can still breath
"Am I dreaming?" - *Looks at hands*Is that right?
Yeah I suppose. It will be very interesting at the end of the week looking back at my journal and seeing if there is something suspicious.

Two things:
You're going to need a lot more perseverance if your going to become a lucid dreamer. You might get lucky and have your first LD in the next few days, but what is more likely is that it will take weeks or months. It's a long ride; you have to be willing to see it through.
Second, when you do RCs you need to make sure that you are not doing them "by rote". That is, an essential component of a good RC is your awareness. If you just do it automatically, then there's a good chance that even if your finger goes through your hand in a dream your mind will come up with some excuse.
Sorry, but what does "by rote" mean?

Try meditating before bed, that usually works for me.![]()
