its called a WILD

Hi. I've been interested in lucid dreaming for a while, and I've had one or two in the past, just by luck. I'm wondering if there is a reliable method for going straight into a lucid dream when falling asleep for the first time at night. Once, I was very tired and was motionless (this was around midnight) and went through the normal sensations of feeling like I'm falling, etc. I began to see random images (visions if you want to use the word) that got very vivid. Stupidly, I fought them off and tried to keep my mind blank. I know now that I should have let them go and I might have gone into a lucid dream. Anyone have any thoughts?

Yep, that's a WILD. You sure got farther than I ever have, so good job!
You might also want to try a DEILD.

You can't WILD when you first go to bed, you don't dream then. Check out the WILD tutorial for help on understanding the sleep cycles.

to DVs This sounds like the beginnings of a WILD. When I was little before I knew about lucid dreaming I would get the senation that you discribed and I also fought them off if I was not to tired to do so. Now I am now what the feelings are and I just try to go with them and fall into the dream as I call it.
Not to get off tpoic, but are you sure about this? This is how most of my WILDs are when I have them. They are the first thing of the night and I get them mostly with out all the vibrations and sp these days. When I was little I would get really loud vibrations and felt like I was being ripped from my body lol. This freaked me out until I was 17 and found out about lucid dreaming and read about WILDs and this is when the vibrations started to stop and I just started to slip into the dream so to speak.
