Hi Vex Kitten!
Glad you decided to participate. If you've been here a year, than you already know what you need to do
Please let us know how we can help and good luck on your quest for more lucidity!
Hey all.
I'm Vex Kitten. A new member but not new to DV.
I found this place about a year ago and have been hooked eversince.
I've always been a vivid dreamer.
I've always been interested in dreams and the dreams of others.
Have had frequent lucid dreams. I love them.
It wasn't until about 3 years ago that I discovered it was possible to train one's self to LD.
Since then I've been lusting after lucidity.
I also suffer from frequent bouts of sleep paralysis.
It's a blessing and a curse.
It never fails to frighten me when I wake up in this state.
But the flip side of this, when I realize where I am, I can sometimes slip back into the dream i was having or create an entirely new one.
The frequent nightly awakenings have helped me to recall multiple dreams per night.
Sometimes though, I wake up so terrified that I completely forget what I was dreaming.
It's a bitter sweet sleep disorder to have.
I couldn't imagine life without it.
I'm hoping that becoming involved in this community will help me get a handle on my dreams.
Or at the very least learn a little more.
A little x-tra knowledge never hurts.

I'll be sure to take up your offer. I know questions are bound to come. Almost every other thought of mine is a query to begin with.

Hello!
Another new member here, and it sounds like you are somewhat ahead of me LD-wise. Anyways, looking forward to seeing you around.
Hi Hotshot.
NIce of you to stop in. Yeah, I've had lucid dreams before...but none yet since becoming an official member of DV.
Hopefully that will soon change for the both of us.
Catch ya around & good luck.

Hi Vex Kitten.
Hope you have luck with lucid dreaming, I know I havent. If anything, try that WBTB [Wake Back to Bed] method. I've tryed it twice now and although I haven't had a lucid dream, I've never had better dream recall. Thanks to gameover for the tip. Good luck with LDing.
Hi Valvo!
Thanks for peeking in.
Hope you have luck with your dreams too. I haven't had a LD since I became a member here...but with luck, I'll have one soon. I NEED one soon. Hmm. That makes me wonder if it's possible to get addicted to LDing? Can a person turn into a dream junkie? Because if that's possible...I fear I'll end up the poster child for that particular addiction.![]()
Anyway...See ya around.
I could imagine it is possible to become addicted to LDing. I really havent thought about a whole lot else in the last week.

Haha, I am sure Lucid Dreaming could be addicting. Luckily for us, humans still seem to prefer real life over anything elce, no matter how good it seems.![]()

I, for one, have always been partly addicted to dreams. I can't wait to get to sleep and get dreaming. I'm like a teed off T-rex if someone suddenly wakes me out of a dream. Even more so if it's a good dream. I think if I ever got to the point where I could induce a LD when ever I wanted, I would literally become a LD junkie. My family would probably have to do the entire intervention thing to get me to rejoin the real world.jk
I think it would be extrememly tempting though to want to spend more and more time in a realm where you can control everything...than want to endure a realm where reality constantly kicks your butt everytime you turn around.
Another question rises...if I could LD whenever I wanted...I wonder if I'd ever get bored with it? End up taking it for granted?
I doubt that, a friend of mine has been doing it ever since he was a kid, and he says you never get quite used to it...Another question rises...if I could LD whenever I wanted...I wonder if I'd ever get bored with it? End up taking it for granted? [/b]

LD count since January 2007: 46
How could it ever get boring? The possibilities are endless! New situations arise every day that you could see what it would be like to put yourself into.

I do not think it would get boring, but you would start to take it for granted. Sort of how we take all the other amazing things we do for granted.

Hot Shot & Barbizzle: I don't think that LD-ing could ever get boring...not in my case anyway. It was just a thought that popped into my head. I do believe it would be taken for granted though by many people.
I think dreams are astounding things...and can't imagine a life without them. I've never taken my 'regular' dreams for granted. Ever. I don't think I'd ever take LD-ing for granted either.
Placebo:I don't mind late welcomes. I'll take all the welcomes my greedy little heart can handle. Woof to you too...![]()
ezekiel7 :Hey. Welcome...are you refering to what I think you're referring to about Placebo? If yes...bark once. If no...bark twice.![]()
